Re: virt-customize fail to inject firstboot script when running it from script.
I am running libguestfs version 1.34.2 The issue is the following. When I start the vm with virt-log I see this: Mar 13 17:33:30 multi6 firstboot.sh[358]: /usr/lib/virt-sysprep/firstboot.sh start Mar 13 17:33:30 multi6 cron[359]: (CRON) INFO (Running @reboot jobs) Mar 13 17:33:30 multi6 firstboot.sh[358]: Scripts dir: /usr/lib/virt-sysprep/scripts Mar 13 17:33:30 multi6 firstboot.sh[358]: ===

Question about stderr output containing carriage return External
On Sat, 11 Nov 2023, Marian Beermann wrote: > Though the commit doesn't say why it needs the \r. When the terminal is in raw mode, \n is not the line separator but \x0D\x0A is: \x0D moves the cursor to the beginning of the line and \x0A moves it to one line below but does not change the horizontal position. So it?s a requirement when in raw mode and doesn?t hurt in cooked mode. bye,

edit existing PDF as template
Hi, I am new to rails. I need to edit an existing pdf file and fill in some data and send it to browser, how to implement this? Is there an example online I can look at it? Thanks! -- Posted via http://www.ruby-forum.com/. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Ruby on Rails: Talk" group. To post to this group, send email to

Question about stderr output containing carriage return External
Hi Josh, it's been around for a while: https://github.com/openbsd/src/commit/8747197a4a479407167d01f46017ddb99cc3cae2 Though the commit doesn't say why it needs the \r. How can I find nonstandard or control characters in a large file?
I have a humongous csv file containing census data, far too big to read into RAM. I have been trying to extract individual columns from this file using the colbycol package. This works for certain subsets of the columns, but not for others. I have not yet been able to precisely identify the problem columns, as there are 731 columns and running colbycol on the file on my old slow machine takes

"make check" test-hash-method bus error (Sparc alignment)
Hi there, when doing "make check" for a 2.3.0 build on Solaris Sparc I get a bus error due to an alignment issue. It seems the error is only happening during testing, because in the official API it was fixed in https://github.com/dovecot/core/commit/d8361cc8576d9ede93a037f9b96f2a3f9b7e9054#diff-2ff53ae0e00a90ee20d648229ad91d2b But the tests use hand written test vectors, that are

Hi all, Sorry for bothering you in this dev mailing list, I'm using libguestfs to customize some vm using as bases the ubuntu cloud images. But I noticed that it takes a lot and then fails when trying to install a packet. Same behaviour on Ubuntu 18.04 and Centos 7.5 Ubuntu: virt-customize 1.36.13 libvirtd (libvirt) 4.0.0 Centos: virt-customize 1.36.10rhel=7,release=6.el7_5.2,libvirt

SYSLINUX 3.81-pre10
I have just pushed out Syslinux 3.81-pre10. This fixes some pretty serious bugs, including the fact that, apparently, isohybrid didn't work at all in CBIOS mode. Unfortunately it means that the isohybrid handover protocol has changed, and so a new isolinux.bin isn't compatible with an old isohybrid or vice versa (as a result, the magic number has changed.) -hpa

Newbie to Samba - getting '^M' characters from NT into PVCS o n UN IX
Hello Tony, Samba isn't the 'culprit', just the media used. Samba does NOT insert anything into the files that you copy over or have an application create on a samba share. The issue is that you are using a PC program to check out/modify the files, and pc os'es (Win/dos, i mean) use crlf as a ascii line terminator. Unix uses a lf only. So when you view the files with a pc
