Upgrade Problems
I had a RH7.3 system.
I upgraded via Centos5.3 CDs
I upgraded this system further via Yum.
Current problems:
1: nvidia GF6800 Xtreme video card has no kernel module, so I have
command-line only.
2: Building a kernel module requires downloading (at least parts) of the
kernel; there is no clear label "yum install
kernel-module-build-enabler"
3: Downloading the whole source tree (yum

Broken Download Link
Hi...
I want to use your format, but...
Your Winamp & Adobe Audition plug-in download link is broken.
Can you develop a official plug-in for Winamp 5.32 & Adobe Audition 2 & place a download link for both softwares?
Official plug-ins is xtreme useful than any other plug-ins.
Please make official plug-ins for both softwares

USB external HDD error messages
Hi - relatively inexperienced user here. I installed CentOS 5.2
yesterday (http install via a mirror, worked brilliantly), as well as a
new Seagate 1Tb USB external HDD (from the new Xtreme line), for
backup/media storage.
Using fdisk I put two primary partitions on the Seagate, /dev/sde1 and
/dev/sde2 (roughly half the drive each). Then I used mkfs.ext3 on both
to create ext3 filesystems

[LLVMdev] LLVM parsers for popular languages? - Python, Rust, Go
Yep we have our own parser <https://github.com/vinzenz/libpypa/> and we
would love to see other people use it. When we looked around at some other
Python parsers we didn't feel like any of them were easy to extract and use
on their own, so we wrote our own and I think were able to keep ours
well-separated. There are some things that make parsing Python somewhat
difficult to do in a

XPCC XVRT-1000 driver
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----
Hash: SHA1
Has anyone used nut with a XPCC UPS, in particular one of the XVRT
units? Their supplied monitoring tool "works", but I'd really prefer to
use nut if possible. I've systematically gone through each of the
drivers in /lib/nut and none seem to talk with the unit properly.
I'll be talking with a XPCC support person tomorrow, though

A killer clip
Check this clip (it's small, 373kb)

It left oggenc, lame and MP+ encoders choking in dust.

[LLVMdev] Signed NaNs in APFloat arithmetic
Is there any intention of making floating absolute and negate primitive IR
instructions?
I ask because only a few days ago I was also faced with the task of
implementing negate in my compiler, and finding no suitable IR instruction,
simply subtracted from zero. But this is wrong.
I could change my code to do the bit casting and fiddling, but I wonder:
would that be lowered appropriately on all

[LLVMdev] Simple example of creating debug info?
Is there a simple example of how to add debug metadata to IR using the C++
API?
All I really need right now is the ability to annotate an instruction with
line number and file name, although describing variables will be useful
later.
It's not clear from reading the include files how to "put it all together".
Unfortunately, the output of my compiler is getting a little large to

Hype The Time Quest Regression
There's an old Ubisoft game called "Hype the Time Quest".
For many Wine versions, Wine could not get past the Hype installer. It would go up to 117% and fail. Then a version came where if you unchecked the DirectX check, the install would work (or maybe that's all you had to do to begin with). But the game would fail to start with an error about MaiD3Dvr_bleu.exe. Then a Wine

Building SVN head with CMake - shared libraries?

Batch files in R
When I submit more than one batch file (same programs, different parameter
values, huge simulations, different result names) the only results that get
saved are from the *last* batch file to finish. They are all being run in
the same subdirectory (so same .RData file?)
I've done:
R --save BATCH infile outfile
and I've also put
q(save="yes")
at the end of the program, but

notice backup script update!
Hai,
For the people using my modified backup script.
Found here:
https://github.com/thctlo/samba4/tree/master/backup-script
I've updated it, due to bug https://bugzilla.samba.org/show_bug.cgi?id=13088 netlogon_creds_cli.tdb will be excluded from the backup.
Due to this the script exits and does not backup anything since netlogon_creds_cli.tdb is the first it wanted to backup. ( in

RubyCorner a meeting place for the Ruby and Rails blogging community
After spending some of our spare time (a software developer having
"spare time"? really?) writing unit and functional tests, RubyCorner
is going live: A blog directory focused on the Ruby language, Rails
and any other Ruby related project.
We like to think about RubyCorner as a "meeting place" for the
community, also as a "focal point" where the people new to
