restrictions on module names
Hi, I had named a module as "global" and it appears not to be recognized. It appears a section [global] path=xxx etc. is interpreted as global parameters and not as a module named global. Is that the expected behaviour? Any pointers as to what names are allowed for modules will be appreciated. Thanks, Selva -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...

DAHDI on VMWARE
Hi gang, We are moving our computers from a cluster of physical machines to a VMWARE server with virtual machines. We investigated and are looking to replace our TDM400P/TDM410P with AEX410P cards. Can we run asterisk with the DAHDI drivers from one of the Virtual machines or is DAHDI going to have to be a native process on the "REAL" machine? Thanks Danny Nicholas

APC Smart-UPS C1500 connected by usb
Hi, I have setup NUT in netserver mode on debian wheezy with two APC UPS units connected to it by usb. lsusb identifies the units as Smart-UPS 1000 and Smart-UPS C1500. It appears these do not use the smart protocol and usbhid-ups is the correct driver to use. System: Debian wheezy with stock version of nut (Version: 2.6.4-2.3+deb7u1) Everything works rather well, except that the

samba 2.2.2 compilation errors
Hi, I am trying to compile Samba 2.2.2 on Solaris 2.8. I am using GCC 3.0.2 compiler. While compiling it gives error and stops. The config.log file shows that conftest.c file cannot be found. Through mailing list I came to know that this file is created on the fly. I am compiling as root and I have set the permissions properly. Is the problem with PATH ? if so what path should be mentioned in

Fwd: rsync --link-dest and --files-from lead by a "change list" from some file system audit tool (Was: Re: cut-off time for rsync ?)

This is so only in some volumes in our case, but it appears that zfs permits this to be enabled/disabled on a per-volume basis. That would work for us. Is there a way to save cycles by offering zfs

LLVM Virtual registers after RA pass?
I need to use ‘createVirtualRegister’ for a specific case in my ‘eliminateFrameIndex’ function implementation. However, whenever that code is executed, I get the assertion "MachineCopyPropagation should be run after register allocation!” at a later stage. I have seen that at least a couple of backend implementations (including ARM Thumb) create virtual registers in ‘eliminatedFrameIndex’.

Is it possible to use spandsp and patton to do fax2mail ?
Hi, I succesfully install spandsp chan_misdn and digium card. the rxfax works fine and I get the fax result by email. I would like to do the same using a Patton gw + zaptel but I can't receive fax anymore, the call comes in from ISDN in the Patton gw, patton sends it to asterisk, asterisk run a macro to make a tif file using rxfax, the tif file is correctly created but with a 0 size the call

Configuring Patton SmartNode with ISDN2e and Asterisk
Hello Does anyone have any experience with configuring BT (British Telecom) ISDN2e lines to work with Patton SmartNodes - and then Asterisk? I have a Patton SmartNode 4638, which is now connected to 3 x ISDN2e lines - and in turn connected to our internal LAN. I'm having huge issues configuring the SmartNode to successfully "see" the ISDN channels - and to be honest, I'm

Asterisk and Patton
Hi, we have and Asterisk server connected to a Patton Smartnode 4638 with 4 BRI. We configured 4 SIP account on Patton (1001, 1002, 1003, 1004). The system is fully functional, but we have a problem to recognize incoming calls from Asterisk: when a call come from SIP/1001 (BRI 1 on Patton) or SIP/1002 (BRI 2) or SIP/1003 (BRI 3) Asterisk record a call coming from SIP/1004. I have contacted Patton

AMI getting related channels in Ringing state
Issuing the AMI Status command results in a list of active channels. But how to figure out which channels are related before the call is answered? 2 channels below are somehow associated, but how can I be 100% sure they are related in order to implement a redirect of the incoming call to another phone ("attended" call pickup respecting call/pickupgroups).
