Some days ago there was a subject regarding BLF (SIP Phone-receptionist Setup). We are the developers of a Price Verify Terminal for a French company. We have developed the hardware (small board based on a PPC 823e), working with Linux embedded (based on Wolfgang Denk's work). I think that it can be a good BLF. Probably it is possible to integrate the Nicolas's FOP or a new application.

Does anyone have a recommendation for a good SIP phone with a busy lamp field? I need my operator to be able to see extension status for about 20 extensions and transfer via HOLD + extension button. Hi, Latest SIP firmware for Polycom 601 is 3.1.6. With this, is Directed Pickup supported ? At the moment, when an extension is ringing, I can see BLF turning to solid Red but I can't see it turning to Blinking Red. Would anyone happen to have some examples of polycom configs, specifically the 650 with sidecar for blf. I have the asterisk side all configured since I've set up blf with other types of phones, but I'm missing the polycom side. I've put together a <mac>-directory.xml, and the sidecar now lists numbers as speed dials but does not subscribe to blf.

Hi All, I have a Polycom Handset on a front door and I'd like the phone to dial a number as soon as the handset is lifted without having to press and buttons or enter any numbers. Hello, I configured both asterisk and grandstream 2000 accourding to howtos on the web.. And everything seems working fin. But if i reload asterisk grandstream stops working with BLF. I need to restart the phone to enable BLF again. Any clues??

Usually, I'm using a SIP hardphone feature called "Call Pickup Starcode" to enhance BLF with Directed Call Pickup : basically, SIP hardphone (here a Thomson ST2030S) is configured to send an INVITE message whenever a BLF is pressed while blinking. The INVITE is build with the extension number (attached to the BLF that was blinking and pressed)

If you activate (via sip.cfg) the feature Group Call Pickup, its no surprise that asterisk doesn't know what to do with this feature request. But it is being sent as a SIP SUBSCRIBE request, and I'm wondering if, as asterisk stands, there is a way to take advantage of this feature to emulate the "*8#" normal behavior.
