Hi, is it possible to configure asterisk as a Push-to-task-over-cellular Server? After reading the spec i was expecting that it is just sip, but i can't get my Nokia to authenticate, no matter what settings i use. Nokia PoC PTT Asterisk
Hi I've seen some posts on the list regarding integrating Nokia's PTT (nokia 6020 and nokia 6230i) with asterisk And use * as a PTT server.. So far I was able to have mobile register itself , send an invite to it, and get SIP error 603 (DECLINED) back from it. And ofcourse the PTT sign on the mobile is off. App_rpt , it mentioned that is can do PTT , but it is not clear..

PBX (Asterisk) <-> Cellular Phone Network
Maybe someone here has found a good solution to this problem. I voulenteer with a local Search And Rescue unit and I was speaking with the senior members about how they interface the command trailer PBX with the PSTN or cellular networks when they are on scene at a remote location. Turns out they don't. Thus that got me to thinking about how one would get Asterisk to interface with a

SV: I can hear only one way when I use nokia e-60withX-lite
Hello Olivier Ive been testing the E61 phone for some days now, and we need to have an inhouse asterisk server, connected to our main asterisk server, to get it to work. That means, that you cant just walk down to your local airport, and use the IP part of the phone on their network. You have to have a non nat local server, to get it to run. Other than that, the phone can accept calls both

Slightly OT: Android phone as sip-gw?
Hi, i have some spare (read: Boss get's a new one every few month ;)) Android Phones laying around. Does someone know a way of using them as a mobile gateway for asterisk? I could not find any SIP-Gateway in the Market, and i don't think it's possible to use the GSM Audio directly with something like chan_datacard... The SIP in the Mobile Phones are not able to register on asterisk
I am talking about the SIP. Now the new mobiles (Nokia, Erecson, Panasonic, iPot, ... etc) all of them support SIP capability. They are able to register to any SIP server (by giving the IP address, username and password). Fring is one of the software that can be installed on the mobile devices and can register on the SIP servers. BUT, the new mobiles currently come with built in SIP (no need to

Fixed Cellular adapters/terminals

VOIP to Cellular
Does anyone know of any Cellular providers that will allow VOIP connections to thier cellular phones? I'd love to be able to call a cell phone without using the PSTN. I would think it would make sense for the provider, they still get to charge normal minutes, but don't have to burn a connection to the PSTN.

OT: Cellular boosters
We use Motorola v551's as "extensions" on our Asterisk system with a homebrew find me/follow me dialplan. It works great except where coverage is poor then of course the inbound call hits voicemail. This has nothing to do with Asterisk and everything to do with our cellular provider, but since you guys are telephony pros I'd like to ask if anyone has had any good or bad

Odd icecast hiccup problem with low-bandwidth cellular client
Here's a very odd question - I don't know if anybody can even begin to answer. I am attempting something very odd and geeky. I set up an icecast Win32 server streaming a 96kbps mp3 stream (using all the latest as of today software, winamp, icecast2 and oddcast v3) so I can listen to it on my cell phone while at work. My phone does GPRS EDGE data at 131kbps-ish, just barely fast enough to

Forwarding out to cellular phone's voicemail with AMP
I have some users who like to forward their extensions out to cellular phones on weekends. They can currently do this using *72<cell #> which AMP provides. However, in the event that this forward is enabled and a call is forwared to their cell phone but they do not answer it, it will be passed back to Asterisk voicemail. They would prefer the call to continue to ring into their cell
