Horrible MeetMe performance
Hey folks, Using FreeBSD 5.2.1 and I've got the current zaptel driver installed from ports (0.8_1) and current ports asterisk (1.0.1). I've set options HZ=1000 in my kernel config, recompiled and rebooted and as far as I can tell, I've done everything right but when I try to use the conference, the audio is very delayed, choppy and segmented -- totally unusable. [FreeBSD 6.3] Zaptel stops responding
Hello This PC had been running a Ports-compiled Asterisk 1.4.16.x succesfully for almost three months, but this morning, although Asterisk itself seemed fined, the Zaptel interface stopped taking calls. Stopping/restarting Zaptel using /usr/local/etc/rc.d/zaptel stop-start didn't let things recover. Since I didn't know better, I had to reboot the host to get things working. I used this

ipfw2 in 5.2.1
hi - this is my first post to this list so go easy on me ! I am trying to find info on using ipfw2 with freebsd 5.2.1 as I have read that it supports MAC address based firewalling. Situation is, I have a small externally managed VPN network, about 12 different subnets all terminating in my office location, and all managed by a tier 1 telco. Problem is, their CPE routers do not have any firewalling

Problems with conference on FreeBSD 5.2.1 w/* 1.0.1
Hello, I'm trying to set up a conference room. When I dial it's extension, I get an audible error saying "Not a valid conference room, please try again" followed by a disconnect. I've got debug sip peer 1001 (my X-Lite client) and I see this in the logs: (I'm pretty sure it has something to do with ztdummy, but I dunno... I have the port installed, but I

Watchguard Firebox 1000 and Asterisk
Has any had any experiences with Watchguard Firebox 1000 and Asterisk. I have asterisk on public side and phones on the private side. I am able to get the phones to register and make outbound calls but the inbound calls are intermittent. I have NAT enable in asterisk and on the Cisco 7960. Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks

Anyone used WatchGuard SIP ALG?
Has anyone here used Asterisk inside a WatchGuard firewall, talking via the WatchGuard SIP Application Layer Gateway to an outside SIP service? I have a customer doing just that, and I am 100% convinced there is a bug in the ALG regarding the media port number it inserts into the SDP when it rewrites it. However, either they or WatchGuard will not accept there is a bug, despite my very detailed

Watchguard Firebox 1000 woes
We are trying to setup a sip connection behind a Watchguard Firebox 1000 and it is simply put...not working. The ports are all forwarded but the packets are not going out. It is as if the firewall simply ignores SIP packets. Has anyone seen this or have any idea what the issue could be? Watchguard so far has been of zero help. DTrace MFC broke kldstat(2) on RELENG_7
Hi, I recently noticed that kldstat(8) started to dump core for me on RELENG_7. I traced the problem down to kldstat(2). r182231 (DTrace MFC) introduced a new version of kld_file_stat struct and added some code to support the old version of the structure in kldstat(). In the new code the old structure is known as kld_file_stat_1. Unfortunately there's a bug in this code: kldstat() copies

I have two ISP''s (with separate routing tables), two DMZ''s, at least one VPN to a remote office, and a local trusted network. The configuration will look like: +----------------+ | | net0 ----------+ eth1

Problems installing Watchguard Firebox System software in wine (installshield)
Hello, I am trying to use WINE (20050725-r1 on Gentoo Linux) to install/run Watchguard's Firebox Management Software (WFS). The WFS installer uses an installshield installer of course.. I've been looking thru the FAQ, wiki, etc and have found info about DCOM98 needing to be installed. I've tried a bunch of things so far, and here's where I stand: First, I tried getting
