Per-folder (per-mailbox) message expiration with control from client side — is it possible?
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA512 I'm migrating from ?old skool? solution with one mail client (MUA) on one computer, which retrieves mail via POP3, sorts it and manages it locally to installation when there are several MUAs on different devices, accessing mail via IMAP4, and all sorting and management should be server-side. Sorting is ?easy?: sieve. Here are some nuisance

Bug#705659: Xen scripts use old-skool "ip" command syntax
Package: xen-utils-common Version: 4.1.4-2 Severity: minor The syntax that the scripts use prevents one from creating a vif named "dev", for example. Attached is a patch for one script, but the syntax that skips using the "dev" keyword is present in other scripts, like vif-bridge. -------------- next part -------------- A non-text attachment was scrubbed... windows acl not saving, no error, nothing in log file
Regarding the insertion of "user_xattr,acl,barrier=1" in to /etc/fstab file. The Sambawiki page 'https://wiki.samba.org/index.php/OS_Requirements' has instructions there for ext4 to include this. I seen it commented here, in the mailing list, many time that this is now default for ext4. Maybe the wiki page should be changed? (Just a suggestion, you guys always give great

smbd could not access share directory on drbd (8.3 on Centos 5 i386)
Dear, all. I am pulling my hair because I could not find any error messsages that could point me to a fix to my problem. The directory I want to share was mounted on /home with drbd and heartbeat but then my users could not access any shares / their home directories. However, if I set up shares else where on my box like share under /opt or /usr/local, then the same users would be able to access

What's the deal with connecting back to the client on port 445?
hi list, I'm a bit of an old skool Samba user, have started using it back in the dark 0.9-ish days. To that end, the ports 137, 138 and 139 and burned deep into my neurons. I've just recently upgraded everything to 3.0.10 (the oldest Samba installation running was 2.2.3). I've seen a lot of garbage disappear from the Network Neighborhood, which is a good thing. One thing, however,

Suddenly Windows clients can't join Samba+ldap PDC anymore
Hi all, some years ago i configured a `Primary Domain Controller` through Samba and LDAP (slapd) on an Ubuntu machine (13.10) at 192.168.69.203 which should be accessible by the string/name `SRV1`. I must note i did not installed winbind. I've never had any issue and it looks like it's working fine as about 10 Windows machines joined the PDC and Windows users can login against PDC on

Suddenly Windows clients can't join Samba+ldap PDC anymore
Hi, thanks a lot for the tips. I already did the first one, importing the following into the registry: Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\LanManWorkstation\Parameters] "DomainCompatibilityMode"=dword:00000001 "DNSNameResolutionRequired"=dword:00000000 I didn't do the second tip but it looks like it's not

New system for recording - SCSI, SAS or SATA?
I'm in the process of specifying the hardware for some new Asterisk systems which will be running a substantial number of conferences with recording. I was wondering what there is to choose between SCSI, SAS and SATA disks, in terms of performance for this kind of application. I will be using dual drives with kernel-based software RAID1. Any advice from experience would be appreciated!
