chan_echolink
Greetings, Where can I get the chan_echolink channel driver from? I've seen reference to it, but have yet to find a place to download/compile it. It is part of the app_rpt.so module... I am told, but do not see the source with app_rpt. -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... URL:

Help needed with getting a maxed-out Asterisk to gracefully deny calls.
Hello Asterisk List, My company is running a bunch of Asterisk servers behind a Kamailio (openSER) SIP proxy gateway. Calls come in from our PTSN to VOIP service to Kamailio, which then randomly chooses an Asterisk server to handle the call. All Asterisk servers are 1.6.0.9, but the issue I'm about to describe exists in 1.6.1.5-rc1 as well. Ultimately what I want to do is cap each

Asterisk with app_RPT question
Dear All, I am not sure if this is the right place to ask my question but I can't find a newsgroup or support for this app_RPT concept so I hope if some one in this community who have tried it out could help me out. I studied this application requirments and saw the hardware needed they describe a radio quad which uses RJ 45 but I can't see where the RJ goes in order to be able to

Asterisk and 4G
Hello, I've started to do some research into the new 4G wireless standard, and there's one part of the standard that intrigues me. Apparently all data is packet based, including the phone calls. Every phone will have its own IPv6 address. This seems to pave the way for a call to go directly from a cell phone to a soft PBX like Asterisk. Is this possible under the 4G spec? If

Asterisk/app_rpt and bandwidth
Hello to the list, I have a question about Asterisk/app_rpt: When a signal is *not* being received and or transmitted by the radio system attached to Asterisk/app_rpt via its interface, is the incoming and or outgoing data suppressed (silence suppression)? In other words! At idle but still connected to some other device, what data will be transferred? I currently don't have access to a

Re: time to build an open phone?
ACES - Asterisk Communications Endpoint System {the following could be used by any IP-PBX but the name pays homage to Mark Spencer and friends who cannot be lauded enough for their fine work} As you read this it will be obvious I am not a professional engineer but I do have enough knowledge to be fairly certain what I'm proposing is feasible from not only an engineering, but production

Digital speech within 100 Hz bandwidth
Dear Sir, Could you please forward this e-mail to your engineering department. I am a ham radio person who wants to transmit from the Earth to the moon and back to the Earth by phone not by Morris code. This will be a very weak signal. I need an extra 13.8 dB of gain. Could you please help me distribute the attached paper to someone who could take this project into the next level? Please reply

RH and packages
Dear colleagues, I just upgraded to 1.4.0 version from RH RPM on a RH72 linux i686 machine. Maybe I am the only one, but when I tried then to install 2 packages (namely pspline and xgobi), weird things happened. First on call of library(xgobi) or library(help=xgobi), all looks good, but on call of ?xgobi, or data(PaulKAI), or when trying to look at html help, the package seems empty. More

civil emergency comms: Asterisk + HAM
The disaster in the Gulf coast and the less than optimal initial response suggests to me that citizens must shoulder more responsibility for emergency management. Communications loss must have played a large role in the failures that occurred. I can't help but wonder if there are fewer ham radio operators today and that if there were more, maybe they could make a difference in future

[LLVMdev] "Name that compiler"
Hi Everyone, LLVM is a growing project, and many of us are very fond of it. :) LLVM is continuing to grow, both in maturity in specific areas and in scope of areas that it is applicable to. When we first started the project, we focused on the design of the intermediate representation. It is a strong design goal that the IR be a self-contained virtual instruction set, which fully describes

Event loop responsiveness + client
Hello, on the application that I''m working on, we are using Thin. The server implements long polling and commands that alter its internal state. Connecting to the long poll is a very fast operation, while updating the state of the server is a relatively slow operation. The long poll connection is held open until there is a change to be sent to the connection. Here is my current
