QSIG-SIP overlap dialing and Asterisk (RFC4497)
P.H.B. is insisting on having the ability to create a transparant SIP tunnel between old style ISDN telephony PBX with overlap dialing: PBX - ISDN - IAD - SIP - * - DAHDI - PRI The idea is that dialed numbers a the PBX are transmitted to the PRI as they are typed, whenever the PRI gets the signal that the number is complete the dialer instantly gets a ringing. This behavior is described in RFC

DAHDI Dial 9 Receiving Setup Acknowledge
I have a Toshiba PBX connected via a QSIG PRI to Asterisk. I can make calls from the Toshiba to Asterisk and internal calls from Asterisk to the Toshiba. What I can't do is make an call with an outside destination from Asterisk to the Toshiba. The Toshiba is looking for 9 to grab an outside line then it expects to see the 10 digits. In the FreePBX dial plan I use 9|. which sends 9 plus the 10

Is it possible to configure Asterisk so that it does the Q.SIG “Path Replacement Feature” ?
Hello, If I connect an Asterisk 1.6 to a PBX via Q.SIG and A (on the PBX) calls B (a SIP phone on Asterisk). B answers and puts A on hold. Then B calls C (on the PABX) and does an attended transfer. Is it possible to configure Asterisk so that it does the Q.SIG ?Path Replacement Feature? ? The Q.SIG "Path Replacement Feature" requires the following: After both legs of the

PRI and QSIG
Hi all, I'm planning on connecting our Asterisk to our legacy PBX (an Avaya INDeX). I was originally going to sit it between our ISDN connection and the INDeX (tried it, worked ok) but now I intend to hang it off a spare PRI card just so should the * fail we keep our ISDN's at the INDeX, yes I've looked at ISDNguard but little info from the manufacturers. Anyhow, I'm now

Asterisk QSIG doesnt send the calling name to Nortel CS1000
Hello to all, I have a problem with an asterisk qsig. I have three machines: Nortel CS1000 --- Card Sangoma PRI ---> Asterisk QSIG ---SIP Trunk---> Asterisk I use Snom phones on Asterisk. If I call from Asterisk to Nortel, Nortel reminds me of the name of the person i'm calling and I visualize on the display of Snom phone, but if I call from Nortel to Asterisk, the QSIG does not send

qsigchannelmapping parameter

Cause Siemens PBX orders Channels logical I need the parameter qsigchannelmapping=logical. Here is my chan_dahdi.conf trunkgroups] [channels] language=de context=default usecallerid=yes hidecallerid=no callwaiting=yes usecallingpres=yes callwaitingcallerid=yes

Asterisk and Cisco PRI gateway config
Hello, I am using a Cisco-2,811 router with PRI as a gateway between Asterisk and Nortel TX-1. I had problems with name transfer and with the help of Cisco support I've fixed it. Enclosed here are the definitions needed for it. BTW, Cisco's CCM is using MGCP thus the Q.sig is handled by CCM. Here I am using SIP so the router must decode/encode the Q.sig. The Nortel should be defined

Asterisk, QSIG and Tenovis PBX?
Hi, we are still trying to properly connect a Tenovis PBX to an Asterisk server (asterisk 1.2.6, libpri 1.2.2, zaptel 1.2.5, Digium Wildcard TE110P), this time with QSIG. Calling from a Tenovis phone to a SIP phone (i.e. traditional phone -> Tenovis PBX -> QSIG -> Asterisk -> SIP phone) works with the following messages: --- Don't know what to do if second ROSE component is of

legacy Alcatel 4200/4400 and Asterisk (QSIG/PRI) and callerid
Hello, I have connected asterisk box with legacy PBX Alcatel OmniPCX 4400 (and also another * box connected to A4200). These PBXes have function to assign name to extensions and display it on phone. Asterisk box is connected via PRI with euroISDN signalling (also I have tried QSIG). Is it possible to set callerid with name and display it on alcatel digital phones? With command SetCALLERID

switchtype QSIG and Asterisk implementation
Hi, Is Asterisk "fully QSIG-compliant"? I currently have an Alcatel 4400 connected to Asterisk 1.2 and 1.4. Zaptel versions are 1.2.26 and 1.4.11. I am using switchtype=euroisdn and all works fine. However, it seems that Alcatel's latest firmware has dropped support for euroisdn which is really despicable. So now I need to see if I can migrate to QSIG which is supported by

TE110P on E1
Hi, I wonder if anyone is using Digium's TE110P card on an E1 connection. I have been try to, but so far it wasn't much of a success. It only works more or less in EuroISDN as PRI CPE. And even that config gives me some trouble with channel negotiation. My current config: *zaptel.conf:* span=1,1,0,ccs,hdb3 bchan=1-15,17-31 dchan=16 loadzone=be defaultzone=be *zapata.conf:* [trunkgroups]

PRI QSIG Asterisk - Legacy PBX
I have a PRI E1 link between Asterisk 1.4.24 and Alcatel-Lucent OmniPCX Enterprise R9.0. As EuroISDN it works fine. However, I need to move to QSIG because of a firmware upgrade on the Alcatel PBX which doesn't support EuroISDN (please don't ask why). Besides, I've read somewhere that 2 B Channel Transfers "should" work with * 1.4, the latest 1.4 libpri and QSIG. So this

Asterisk / PRI and Outbound Overlap Dialing
I am trying to setup Asterisk to act like a PBX connected via a PRI gateway to a voice netowrk where Asterisk is doing outbound overlap dialing for calls that terminate via that PRI. AFter researching through the archives and online dcocs, I thought I had everyting setup right, dialplan configured for '_X!' and the 'overlapdial=yes' in the chan_dahdi.conf file, but when I try and

timing source problem
hi all, we do have some troubles with zaptel timing source - we have a setup with 3 telco PRI lines, connected to asterisk digium card 0 - asterisk does some handling - calls are leaving on digium card 1 - going to a siemens hipath - there is some call handling - some of the calls then are going from the hipath over a qsig line to a bosch integral PBX - handling the rest of the calls. RE: SOLVED: No audio when dialing in via PRI with Q.SIG
When inserting Ringing() before MeetMe()-conference picked up the call, everything works like a charm. I guess the PRI needed to see the ringing status before the call was answered. This is however never needed when dialing a SIP-extension or similar. I have also an update considering bad PRI b-channel numbering. It seems that only my first 15 channels actually work. Then our PBX tells Asterisk

Losing first DTMF digit (with ASR)
I'm having a wierd problem. Somewhere around 1-2% of the time, the first DTMF digit dialed gets dropped. This is occurring during a SpeechBackground application call. If the caller reenters the digits when given a second chance, all is OK. Any suggestions how to debug this intermittent problem?

SV: SV: QSIG, Asterisk and Eicon DIVA
I have read most of Eicons information on Q.SIG, and I am able to load the Q.SIG protocol (instead of ETSI for example). No strange logging in divacrtl mlog. But how do I tell Asterisk to understand Q.SIG? My PBX is configured for QSIG, but I cannot see anything on my trace when trying to make a call via the S0(Q.SIG) Janne > -----Ursprungligt meddelande----- > Fr?n:

libpri & tie line vs trunk
We are connecting an asterisk box to a Nortel Option 61 via a T1 with PRI. We have hit a problem we cannot overcome; specifically, the Nortel is asking for the ROSE information element (IE) over the PRI connection. This causes libpri to drop the connection, with cause 100. The Nortel cannot "turn off" asking for ROSE. Since our Nortel box does not support QSIG (too old), we have to
