Polycom Productivity Suite
Has anyone been able to do the following:
1. Set the phone to automatically record all calls to the USB stick,
now you have to press three keys.
2. Put Record on the main screen when a call is active. This would
eliminate having to press the 'more' softkey.
Thanks,
Matt

FXS Solutions for modems and other non jitter tolerant devices
In the past we have used Adtran Atlas 550's to break out FXS ports for
devices like modems. The great thing about the 550 is that internally it
is all TDM so there is absolutely zero latency.
We are able to use ATA's for faxes and analog phones but devices that use
modems, they fail 99.99% of the time when using an ATA.
We tried to migrate to TA908 devices; they have FXS ports built

Update the LCD with the callee's name after dialing
Is is possible with a Polycom phone to update the LCD with the
callee's name after dialing them?
When you dial ext 103 now, it says 'To:103'...would be nice if could
have 'To:Dan Marino'
This is the case even when you have a contact for ext 103.
None of the phones I have ever tested do this, Polycom, Linksys,
Cisco, Grandstream, Yealink, etc.

Can you disable Forward on a Polycom phone?
Aloha,
Anyone know how to disable call forward on a Polycom Phone. Calls being
accidentilly being forwarded somewhere is the #1 trouble that we have to
respond to.
The real issue is the 'end call' button becomes 'forward' when the call
ends....therefore the user thinks they are pressing 'end call' but the call
ends just before they press the button so they end up

Queue Agent Getting Additional Calls When on the Phone
We have a queue that agents log into through the dial plan. Extension
Sip/101 logs in as Agent/101
We have 'ringinuse = no' in the queues.conf file.
The issue is that when Ext 101 is on a 'non queue' call (they placed a
call, someone called their DID, etc) they still receive queue calls.
Is there a way to stop this from happening?

using their Asterisk systems on the Skype network until at least July

Select range of dates
Hello,
This is likely fairly silly question, and I apologize to whomever takes the
time to respond.
I am a relatively new user of R, on Windows XP, version 2.3.1.
Say I have a data table that looks like the following:
x
Date Location Amount Blue Green
1 01/01/2001 Central 1817 TRUE FALSE
2 01/02/2001 Central 20358 FALSE TRUE
3 05/08/2001 Central 16245 FALSE TRUE

A suggestion for predict function(s)
Maybe a useful addition to the predict functions would be to return the
values of the predictor variables. It just (unless there are problems)
requires an extra line. I have inserted an example below.
"predict.glm" <-
function (object, newdata = NULL, type = c("link", "response",
"terms"), se.fit = FALSE,

NET USE ?
Hi,
I'm trying to access a remote fiscal printer under Wine. I'm wondering if it's possible to use the 'net use' command from Windows (but under wine) to map the remote printer or if it's possible to simple mount the remote printer (dunno how as mount.cifs gives no clue about how to mount print shares) under 'dosdevices/unc'
anyone ?
Thanks in advance.

Need help with function that includes 2 summation
I am relatively new to R, so this may be a much simpler question than it
seems to me. I am trying to create a function that includes two
summations, and can't figure out how. I am attaching the equation as a
pdf file. This function will then be optimized over a chosen range of
values, but right now I just need help with the function. Thank you.

SIP Conference phones
Greetings list,
Does anyone have experience with SIP conference phones? I need to source a couple for a client, but I'm not really familiar with the market - i.e. what's available, what's decent quality, etc..
A cursory googling has led me to the Polycom Soundpoint IP4000 at around the ?450 mark - any thoughts on this?
If anyone knows a good Polycom wholesaler in the UK, I'd be

Phones that work well through NAT
Hi, everyone,
We've been reasonably happy with Polycom SoundPoint phones, but we only
have them installed on the LAN. I've read that they have problems
working across NAT. So ... I guess I have a few questions. First, is
there a way to get Polycoms to work well over NAT? If not, then are
there phones of comparable voice quality that do work well over NAT?
Without costing a lot more?
