Asterisk core sounds in English by June Wallack
Is there a version of the Asterisk core sounds in English done by June Wallack? Some folks here prefer her voice to Allison's, but we'd like consistency. And is there a version of the Cepstral software with her voice?

Mixing SIP/TDM in MeetMe
I sent a query about this before, but have some further information and am hoping somebody has a suggestion as to what to try next to debug this. I'm using an Asterisk box primarily for MeetMe conferencing. There are two sources: TDM via two Q.SIG T1's and SIP phones. Conferencing works fine between TDM channels. But when a SIP phone calls the conference, there's no voice path *to*

Cepstral voices
what's the easiest way of using cepstral voices with asterisk ? On their website, in the ssml page (http://www.cepstral.com/cgi-bin/support?page=ssml), they say "Asterisk PBX SSML can be used with Cepstral voices in Asterisk by simply embedding the markup into the input text." what input text ? To what application ? Thanks ! Julian

Cepstral voices
Was hoping someone could point me in the right direction for getting the linux version of cepstral voices working with Asterisk. The cepstral site states that the voices work with asterisk, but I haven't been able to find anything with google or in the handbook on this. Thanks in advance, Bruce

cepstral TTS and app_swift
We are having some major problems with app_swift since we went live. It is regularly segfaulting. I don't know if this is my fault or not, but here's the story: Installed the cepstral voices (at the time, 4.0) on our test system (2.6.9-42.0.10.ELsmp) and later added some extra voices (now 4.2). All worked fine - we stress tested (20+ simultaneous calls). Move to live (

app_swift issues
Hi all, i'm trying to integrate cepstral and asterisk, and i have a problem i'd appreciate any help with (i know it's a bit tangential, but i figure this is the place with the most knowledge of app_swift and asterisk). I've installed swift from cepstral.com with alison's voice, and it works fine, from the command line i can do swift "hello there" -o test.wav and then

Asterisk PA system with cepstral
Hi All, We just bought a sip based PA setup here with the intention of hooking it into our existing asterisk (1.4) setup. It works as expected when I dial it's extension, but I want to have system generated speech played based on some action (using cepstral, which is already installed and working). My first thought was to DIAL to the extension, and then have cepstral play the audio. The

How to select Ceptral's Voice in Asterisk's Swift application??
Hi, I'm using Cepstral as a TTS Engine for Asterisk with Swift application. It works fine when I have just 1 voice installed. Now I have 2 voices in the same language installed but I can't seem to find the way to select which voice to use in Swift's application in Asterisk. Does anyone know?? Thank you, Pim

(OT) Where to post free source for AGI?
Hey all, After figuring out a problem with AGI and freepascal, I have finished writing a small Cepstral (http://www.cepstral.com) AGI app. I wrote a small readme for it at http://www.datatrakpos.com/misc/dial/readme.txt. I'd like to give it to the community (source/binary) and was wondering where to post it? The wiki? Also, anyone have suggestion on licensing? LGPL? FreeBSD? Thanks

Possible bug in app_meetme.c
Is this patch correct? The "&&" doesn't make logical sense to me. I think it should be "||" and making this change fixes the problem I have with SIP phones in MeetMe conferences. If it's correct, is there someplace more formal that I should submit it to? *** app_meetme.c.old 2009-10-11 17:56:44.000000000 -0400 --- app_meetme.c 2009-10-17

Speech/DTMF mix?
Which speed recognition products will also recognize DTMF? In other words, I want to say "Please speak or dial the conference number". Does Vestec allow that? LumenVox? Any other way?

Adding Cepstral to Asterisk
I downloaded Cepstral to my Asterisk Box. I did the install and let it install to /opt/swift. I brought down a new CVS-HEAD as of today 10/1. I added APPS+=app_cepstral.so into the Makefile in /usr/src/asterisk/apps/Makefile Like: # Obsolete things... # #APPS+=app_sql_postgres.so #APPS+=app_sql_odbc.so APPS+=app_cepstral.so # I did this piece but wasn't sure exactly what part of the

cepstral vs festival
I'm about to begin working on an ivr project to do database backed scheduling. I would like to use text to speech in some places. What are the differences in using festival vs. Cepstral? How are they similar, how are they different? Is one really better than the other? How and Why? Thanks, Eric -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... URL:

Cepstral in AGI problem
I'm expirimenting with Cepstral via swift.agi. It loads w/ no problem, but there is a fairly long separation between words -- almost as if it is processing one word at a time, rather than stringing a phrase together. When I run cepstral with a similar script, but not through an actual call from asterisk the separation between words is short and natural. I'd really appreciate

res_cepstral, register & existing Cepstral licenses.
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 I have a license for Allison-8kHz and two concurrent port licenses that I purchased from Cepstral at the end of last year. I just got around to installing to my * 1.6.0.10 machine. I've decided that the best way for me to integrate the two would be res_cepstral, which I downloaded and installed. Everything is fine, except the register program,

Losing first DTMF digit (with ASR)
I'm having a wierd problem. Somewhere around 1-2% of the time, the first DTMF digit dialed gets dropped. This is occurring during a SpeechBackground application call. If the caller reenters the digits when given a second chance, all is OK. Any suggestions how to debug this intermittent problem?

How to write a loop?
Dear R helpers,   Following is a R script I am using to run the Fast Fourier Transform. The csv files has 10 columns with titles m1, m2, m3 .....m10.     When I use the following commands, I am getting the required results. The probelm is if there are 100 columns, it is not wise to define 100 commands as fk <- ONS$mk and so on. Thus, I need some guidance to write the loop for the STEP A and
