problem with tunnels
I use ssh tunnels extensively. recently I upgraded my linux kernel from 2.6.18 to 2.6.37 and a problem with tunnels has resulted. prior to the upgrade use of ssh tunN devices was rock solid. the problem manifests as the tunnel from the initiator end ceasing to transfer data to the remote after a quantity of data is sent. it is necessary to create a new tunnel after destroying the old to get

fraud advice
Hi, Embarrassed as I am to write this, I am hoping for some advice. One of our very first PBX installs, now six years old, was "taken advantage of" over the past few weeks. A victim of sipvicious, I assume, that managed to guess one of the SIP passwords. 4000 calls to various middle eastern destinations have been placed, which ended up being sent over our customer's PSTN

VPN-Clients
There is a SonicWall Pro 2040 to which I successfully established a VPN tunnel under Windows XP using SonicWall VPN client. Now, I'm looking for a way to establish a VPN tunnel to the same SonicWall device under Linux. Installing the SonicWall VPN client under wine 0.9.27 failed ans as far as I understand a posting of 2006 it's doubtful if this type of software will ever be installable

New thread - SIP over VPN
>> Isn't an SSL based tunnel all TCP? > Not in the case of OpenVPN. I'm not sure about the commercial > offerings. Correct. My recollection is that OpenSSL uses TCP for the setup and management of the tunnel (e.g. authentication and key exchange) and uses UDP to carry the actual payload... each tunneled IP packet is wrapped in a UDP datagram. That way, the UDP transport

MULTIPLE IPSEC TUNNELS
I am have a shorewall firewall and freeswan ipsec running on a redhat 8.0 Linux gateway machine. I have one working tunnel defined, all works well. I am not clear how to define mutiple concurrent tunnels. I can not add further interface entries as all the tunnels come in on ipsec0, do I still have mutiple zone definitions? some of the tunnels will be dynamic roadwarriors and as such would need a

is dundi worth pursuing in this situation?
At work, I have 4 branch offices at which I've deployed asterisk. Call termination/origination at each branch office is handled either through a frac PRI or 3rd party SIP provider. Soon, I'll be replacing the legacy PBX at our HQ with asterisk. Each branch office has between 3 and 20 employees, each with their own extension and DID, and at headquarters, we have about 70 people, again

SSO across multiple physical subnets
Hi, I?ve been reading up on SSO-based logins for the last couple of weeks. I?ve found a lot of information about it, but nothing that matches my situation. Here?s the gist of my situation... - I have a Samba 3 PDC in our corporate office as well as three remote offices. - Each remote office is in a different physical building and connected to the Corporate office either via Point-to-Point T-1

problem with nth patch, counter parameter...I think
Hi all, I need some guidance to get my problem fixed. I believe there is an issue with the ''nth'' patch from the patch-o-matic, which is labeled as status ''works''. I have tunnels back and forth across the internet, using ''nth'' to balance packets between different public networks (over the tunnels). I need to access some networks over two

gre/ipsec loadbalancing
Hi, I have the following setup. Two linux systems with two [test] external interfaces encrypted with ipsec [transport]. Two gre tunnels that pass 10.200.0.0/24 and 10.200.1.0/24 network traffic. Testing the balanced tunnels I would setup iptraf on one and ping from the other. The results would be as expected; traffic would be split between the two interfaces. Testing with an ftp transfer of

IPIP Tunnel
Hi guys, I''m trying to setup an IPIP tunnel between a Cisco router and a firewall running Debian GNU/Linux Sarge with Shorewall 2.0.13. I''ve read and implemented the http://shorewall.net/IPIP.htm document, but I don''t understand why there should be at the same time a "tunnel" and a "tunnels" script. Shorewall still refuses to let the

6.5 vpn/gre/ospf breakage
Hi List, FYI. We have been using CentOS 6.4 and have 2 vpn/gre tunnels to separate cisco rtrs using ospf. with kernel 2.6.32-358.23.2 We have upgraded to 6.5 bit using kernel 2.6.32-431.5.1 and the exact same configuration scripts for our vpn/gre tunnels. What I see is the first gre tunnel works great and I get an ospf neighbor. The second tunnel comes up and I can ping across it and I see
