Little t38 bug?
Hello List, I think I've discovered a little bug in t.38 bug in 1.6.0.22 regarding the speed (T38MaxBitRate) used to send the faxes. Asterisk always responds with a=T38MaxBitRate:2400. I've tried with Patton and Grandstream devices and the result is always the same. Patton ignores the parameter and sends the fax at 9600.

Asterisk, Hylafax and t38modem working together ?
Hi, I've read this thread in this list history http://article.gmane.org/gmane.comp.telephony.pbx.asterisk.user/261151/match=t38modem http://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&aid=3337581&group_id=152230&atid=783657 Has anyone been successful when integrating latest version of Asterisk (10 or 1.8, for instance) with t38modem ? My target setup is: fax ---<PSTN>-- SPA3102

Problems with t38modem and bitrate sent to t38-termination service
Hi all the people in the list! I'm new on this list, this is my first post. I configured asterisk 1.6 with freepbx 2.7 and dahdi to send faxes with t38modem conected to hylafax as a sip extension of asterisk. Everything is supposed to be configured fine, the faxes start sending, but at the middle of the transaction, it fails. The T.38 termination provider told me that they were receiving

T38 and codecs negotiation
Hi, I'm working with asterisk 1.4.35 and found an issue regarding codecs negotiation when T38 is enabled (t38pt_udptl=yes). In particular if the INVITE sdp contains no allowed codec the call is not rejected with "488 - Not acceptable here" but it goes through and the 200 OK SDP is as follows: v=0 o=root 27285 27285 IN IP4 xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx s=session c=IN IP4 xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx t=0 0

T.38 on a MAX/Lucent/Ascend TNT
Hello folks, I've been trying to get T.38 over SIP working with calls terminated by a MAX/Lucent/Ascent TNT. As far as I can tell, SIP and T.38 are actually working perfectly; however, I can't get the TNT to properly terminate a FAX call. Does anyone have a working configuration for SIP and T.38 for calls from a TNT or APX? Here's a brief description/diagram of my test setup:

IAXModem or T38Modem?
Hi all, I'm installing Hylafax on my Asterisk system. From what I've read, I can either use IAXModem or T38Modem to provide the virtual fax device. So at the risk of starting a religious war, which one should I use? I don't mind running IAX if I have to. I want as much flexibility and stability as I can get. So, what are your recommendations? Asterisk and hylafax: how to debug ...
Hi, I hope you might give me some hints on how to find where my configuration is wrong, I am new to Asterisk and do not know, how to find the problem. Running Asterisk (version: 1.8.13.1~dfsg-3) on Debian Wheezy. On the same maschine: Hylafax fax server. I want hylafax to use t38modem (a virtual T.38 modem) for sending faxes. t38modem schould connect to asterisk on the same host. If hylafax

Asterisk 1.6.2.7 + app_fax + OpenBSD 4.7 minor issue
Hi folks, I am having a small problem with asterisk-1.6.2.7 + app_fax on OpenBSD 4.7 -release. Everything seems to work fine. I have a macro which answers, receives the fax to a tiff, and then runs a script (mailfax) to convert that to pdf and email it. It all works perfectly except for some errors I am seeing in the console. After it hangs up I get a dozen or so messages in the cli

spandsp as T.38 termination?
It seems that Spandsp has everything in it (when you include rxfax and txfax) to be a T.38 termination when used with Asterisk 1.4? And if so, what version of Spandsp? What version of IAXModem (so I don't have to also deal with T38Modem)?

G729 troubles
Hello, I've successfully installed Asterisk from last CVS and configured it for using with DLINK-DG104S as mgcp CPE and PGW2200 as external sip server. All are work fine at G711 codecs, but then I disable all codecs except g729 some calls failed (Not all calls. Some calls passed at g729 succesfully). All my devices configred to use only g729 and I don't see other codecs at mgcp or sip
