Hi, i have some old IBM USB touchscreens, that insist on not working

Help needed with Elographics touchscreen
I'm trying to get an Elographics serial touchscreen working with CentOS
6.2 using the xorg-x11-drv-elographics driver.
Touching the screen will wake it up if the screen has blanked, but it
never moves the cursor on the screen. There is also a keyboard and mouse
connected while I'm trying to get this going and they are loaded
automatically and using the evdev driver.
Here are the relevant

ACER T230H touchscreen problem!
Hi,
I am completely new to CentOS(a week), but work on linux almost 2 years.
This touchscreen ACER T230H is probably produced for Windows7, but works
also with Windows XP.
On CentOS works just screen, but not touch. I have no idea how to make
it work. Should I look for driver?
Please give me some advice!?!
Thanks,
Vladimir

Can Asterisk act like an ISP dialin server to data callls from Sipura 3000 or other ATA connected devices ?
Hi,

Replacing Skype with Asterisk Peering Servers - and Security
Hi,
I have successfully configured two OpenBSD ( 4.2 & 4.0 ) Servers to do
IXA2 peering on two remote Sites.
Now asterisk users on Site1 can talk to users on Site2.
I just would like to know the following details.
1)
Currently I have allowed all in coming traffic from "Site1 Public IP
Address" on Site2 Server and vice versa.
Is that really required? Is it possible to narrow down

OpenVPN + SIP configuration?
Hello
I read a whole book on OpenVPN, but still can't figure how to
configure the server + client so that the the client connects and
sends SIP/RTP data through the tunnel.
To get started, I'd rather use a shared key instead of X509
(certificates + keys). The server is running on a uClinux appliance,
with /dev/net/tun, and OpenVPN is 2.0.9. The clients will be Windows
hosts connecting

OpenWengo + Asterisk?
OpenWengo has just released WengoPhone v2.1.0:
http://www.openwengo.org/index.php/openwengo/public/homePage/news?payload[newsId]=0 . Has anyone had success (or notable failures) using it as a client for Asterisk? Any advice on integrating it into dialplan, apps, config DBs, etc?

most common VOIP echo simulaton for research purposes ?
Hi,
I'm speech recognition researcher and would like to do some research on
recognition robustness in echo distortion of speech signal. Since VOIP is
becoming wide spread, I'd like to simulate (one or more) common echo
distortions that mostly appear in voip communications ? Any example, FIR or
IIR filter or acoustical system response ?
Any other distortion worth researching ?
Thanks

Using dedicated eth2 card for SIP trunk line to ISP provider - how to setup ?
Hi,
I'm about to test VOIP connection (from my ISP provider) directly through
dedicated network card instead of going through ADSL gateway with analog
phone port - SPA 3000 - Asterisk.
I need to have eth2 set on dhcp (to retrieve IP automatically) and then work
with it under Asterisk as dedicated VOIP trunk.
Anyone with more insight how to setup such situation ? Any more info

Voicemail box
Hello!!!
I am using asterisk with a usb headset and therefor no actual telephony
handset.
I have configured asterisk to use voicemail and I can dial the mailbox
via my touchscreen application. The only problem is voicemail asks you
to press "1" to hear messages. With a handset this is simple, but does
anyone know how to send the appropropriate command to asterisk without
using a

On Topic: Cheapest Asterisk USB Key? (was: Re: Off Topic: Open Source USB Softphone)
Here's a flipside of this subject: what is the absolute cheapest Linux
device that can be connected to a PC's USB port? That has just enough
power for a minimal Asterisk server running on it. The Asterisk just
maintains a CDR database on its Flash memory, which it periodically
submits over the PC's network connection with an HTTP hit on a remote
full-service Asterisk server? No call

423 "Interval Too Brief" and expiry settings in sip.conf
Hi,
I'm getting this error when registering with SIP server using Asterisk
1.4.10 and Freepbx...
I'm getting this error no matter what I try to setup in sip.conf :
- I'm getting confused whether options are maxexpirey=36000 or
maxexpiry=36000 ?
- Can I solve this with some settings in sip.conf or is this problem harder
?
- I've read something about Asterisk's bug on this

Newbie: from the javascript way to the Rails way... Advice?
Hello;
I''m building an application for a touchscreen that pages through a set
of survey pages. On each page, the user makes some choices by touching
items on the screen (words, or images) and, when satisfied with their
choices, clicks the Next page button.
Rails has done a great job helping me get things to the screen, and
paginating for me... but I''m stuck on something
