Problem with chan_sccp and cisco 7960
Hi !
On Cisco 7960 (with or without 7914 add-on module) when I press speakerphone
button (or select line with line button - which automatically put second
line on speakerphone) after about 15-20 seconds of dialtone Asterisk stable
dies (seg fault). Tested versions of Asterisk are 1.0.2, 1.0.3 or 1.0.5,
chan_sccp is newest form CVS of chann-sccp.sourceforge.net ). Firmware of

chan_sccp/SEP<mac>.cnf.xml
HI all:
I have spent a large amount of time configuring/installing phones
connected to Asterisk. Halfway through the process I discovered that my
Cisco7960 with 2 7914 expansions was not supported in the SIP protocol.
After reverting to SCCP 6.0(4.0) I am now perplexed with the hassle of
configuring SCCP to properly work with Asterisk.
So far I have gotten the phone to dial and receive calls

- very experimental hint (busy status line lamp or icon) support. This
is a very experimental system so it might not work properly with
particular cisco phones. 7960, 7970 and 7940 with recent firmware does
work great. Old phones can't, of course, use the hint system.

Cisco 7905G SIP firmware needed
To get the SIP firmware for these phones, you need to buy a Cisco
SmartNet support contract (about $75 USD in the USA, though I've heard
rumors a Europe-only contract exists for about $10 USD.) You can
purchase one through most Cisco resellers. That will give you access to
Cisco's download site. Configuration of these phones under SIP is not
quite as straight forward as it is with SCCP,

7960 + 7914 Problems
I'm still having problems getting this to work. I cannot get anything to
display on my 7914 other than blank lines.
I have SIP/5920-5930 in [main] that I'd like to add to the 7914 and
indicate hook status. The 7960 is registering okay as SCCP/5000.
What exactly should my sccp.conf file look like? When I make changes to
this, how do I enact them? Do I reload Asterisk and reboot the phone

Cisco 79xx + asterisk + some functions Q
Hi,
I am new to Asterisk and have some general questions _before_
I start buying equipent to install and get everything up-and-running.
(this means I have no running Asterisk (yet)).
I have read already a lot of doc, but some things are not
clear to me, since I'am inexperienced in Asterisk and PBX.
The goal:
Make PBX using Asterisk and Cisco 79xx equipment for 25
phones (1 x 7970, 4 x 7960,

I didn't have a spare 7960 to use this week, so maybe some line issue is
still present.
- fixed a memory leak on database updates (dnd, cfwd*)
- fixed old memory leak on unload (now unload chan_sccp.so and load
chan_sccp.so work. It does reload the config when asterisk is running)

asterisk & chan_sccp
ive got asterisk running with chan_sccp and three cisco phones (2 7910's and 1
7960). lots of bugs. when i press the speed dial button on either 7910,
asterisk dies. also, if i dial from the 7910 to 7910, everything works fine.
i can dial from or to the 7960 once, and then one of the 10's and the 60 die
and try to reregister.
if i take the 7960 out of the mix and remove its

Cisco 79xx users/consultants, 7970G color in particular share information (was: Re: asterisk-users Digest, Vol 44, Issue 3)
The documentation of how to use the 79xx series' phones and features
with Asterisk is really hard to find and put together. The higher end
phones like 7970 are more like converged PC+phone, a thin client to
telephony and network apps. But it's really hard to target it as a
development and deployment platform because the docs and techniques are
so obscure.
There seems to be a fair amount

Cisco 7914 with sccp
I was wondering if anyone had any experience getting a 7960+7914 working
with any of the chan_sccp modules. I've got a 7960G with 6.0(5.0) and a
factory fresh 7960G with 3.1(MF.G2). I've got 2 7914s fresh out of the box
brand new. I hook them up and all I get is red lights on all of the
buttons. When I go into the phone to see what version firmware they have it

SCCP problem with ATA188, Asterisk@home and chan_sccp
Hi,
This is a message I already posted on the chan_sccp mailing list, but since this list has a lot of active members, I'm hoping someone might be able to help (And my problem is * related, so I guess it's ok if I post it here also ;) ).
I'm trying to get SCCP ATA188s to run with Asterisk.
The Asterisk box uses the latest Asterisk@Home image (Version 2.6).
I have compiled and

NEWS from the chan_sccp developers.
Dear sccp users :-)
We are announcing the support of the Cisco 7935 Conference Station
within the chap_sccp channel driver (experimental version) AND
the "alpha-beta" stage of the 12SP+ Support.
I will later on today add the information on the Wiki on how to get this
phones correctly registered.
However the support is still not fully functional (some issues), but
please test this

cisco 7940 firmware upgrade
I have been trying for sometime to upgrade this phone to either sip, or the
latest sccp (at this point I don't care) with no success. It has an sccp
image (don't know the version off the top of my head) that is incompatible
with chan_sccp. When I boot up the phone, it asks the tfpt server for the
.tlv file, then the SEP<mac> file which it receives successfully. It then
asks for

Asterisk + Cisco 7920 + chan_sccp or chan_skinny
Greetings,
I have seen a few postings in the past regarding the interop of Asterisk and
the Cisco 7920 WiFi phone. To date, I have not seen a definitive method to
getting the phone working. Assuming someone has this actually working, can
that person step up and answer these questions.
1) What Channel is it working with (chan_skinny or chan_sccp)?
2) If code was used that is not a part of a

chan_sccp and hinting
Ok, so multiple people have said that hinting is possible with chan_sccp
on the 7940/7960's and such, has anyone got this working? How do you go
about getting this to work?
I'd use the wiki, but it's link to the mailing list topic on that doesn't
work anymore :(

Cisco 7960 SIP + 7914
I found a few mentions of the 7914 being used with Asterisk, these all
covered SCCP/skinny though. Does anyone know if the 7914 can even be
used with SIP? If so, any pointers? Is it a services thing? Anyone get
the operator (line/extension status) to work with it. Thanks for the
help, Cisco doesn't even mention ANYTHING about SIP + the 7914.
