gotoiftime
Does anyone know if gotoiftime can take any subset of 7 days for the days of the week or only a contiguous range? I want to use gotoiftime to change dialplan behavior on Monday, wedneday and Friday -- Executing GotoIfTime("Zap/8-1", "09:00-20:00|MON WED FRI|?21") in new stack Aug 27 19:27:25 WARNING[2676]: pbx.c:3729 get_dow: Invalid day 'MON WED FRI',

Play different voice-mail messages based on certain conditions
Hello List, I have few installations out there based on 1.6.1 or above. I'm trying to play different voice mail messages based on certain criteria's. For example, I want during office hours to play (in short): "we are not available to take your call, please leave a message", during off-hours and weekends I would play: "we are closed, our opening hours xx:xx-yy:yy, please

How do *you* test your changes to dialplans ruled by GotoIfTime?
This past holiday weekend has resulted in some real groaners when it comes to bugs in our dialplan, making obvious the need for some changes in our procedures. First, our hours of operation for Christmas Eve, Christmas, Boxing Day and New Year's Eve had changed with little to no notice. Okay, fine, whatever, I fix. Our Christmas Eve hours (made worse by being Monday this year) dialplan

Feature Request: GotoIfTimeWithOffset
Hi, When I was testing an IVR, I realized I miss a function I would call GotoIfTimeWithOffset. Today, this IVR is using function AEL GotoIfTime in several places. The problem is if it's 11pm at the moment I'm testing this IVR, I can't nicely test the 9am or 2pm branch. GotoIfTimeWithOffset would get 2 incoming arguments : - the first is a time range (just like GotoIfTime), - the

Dialplans & Holiday Dates
I have a working dialplan for our phone system with Mon-Fri, business hours identification, etc. But what I'm lacking right now is support for company holiday dates. What I'd like to do is to create a database of these dates and just update them as new years rollover. I suspect others have done this sort of thing with Asterisk before, but I've not found any resources so far.

Dialplan loop
Folks, I'm trying to implement a simple loop in a dialplan. The object is to set a counter, run through some IVR options, increment the counter, return to the start, then finally fall through to an operator or voicemail. Am using 1.4.10 and have reviewed doc/ exten => s,1,Set(TIMEOUT(digit)=5) exten => s,n,Set(TIMEOUT(response)=20) exten => s,n,Set(loop = 0) exten =>

Exclude holidays in a subset of dates?
Hi All, I am iterating through dated materials, with variable start and end dates, and would like to skip procedures everytime I encounter a weekend or holiday. To do this, I thought the easiest way would be to create a TRUE/FALSE vector corresponding to each day where it is TRUE if a workday, and FALSE if a weekend or holiday. So far I have been able to do this for weekdays: startDate <-

Identifying US holidays
Hello! I am trying to identify which ones of a vector of dates are US holidays. And, ideally, which is which. And I do not know (a-priori) which dates those should be. I have, for example: x<-seq(as.Date("2011-01-01"),as.Date("2011-12-31"),by="day") (x) I think chron should help me here - but maybe I am not using it properly: library(chron) is.holiday(chron) #

Time Based Goto Ifs Act Strange?
Hi, I'm still in the process of debugging this, but I have a gotoif statement that looks like this: exten => 26,1,GotoIfTime(7:00-18:00|mon-fri|*|*?ext-queues,210,1) exten => 26,n,Goto(ext-local,${VM_PREFIX}127,1) I have others setup the same way that also seem to have the same 'issue'. The issue is that they work, but they seem to require (and I don't understand why) a

installing asterisk for Ubuntu Synaptic
I have an Ubuntu system and went into Synaptic and checked asterisk for installation. Once installed, I started it with /usr/sbin/asterisk -vvvgc and got the following output with several errors and notices. Do I need to do more or are these ok? I expected to have some conf files in /etc/asterisk but there is nothing there. Thanks! Created by Mark Spencer <markster@digium.com>

Holiday Scheduling
I want to edit my dialplan to change messages depending on whether or not it is a holiday. I have found only one example of this, but the syntax is not explained. The example is: include=>holiday||||1|jan| I know that this would use the holiday context on the first of January, but why are there 4 pipes before 1 What is the exact syntax of this? Let's say that I want to use the holiday

Bank holidays read from file?
Hi. Thanks for the idea for calendar, it sounds better. i did not manage to make it work though. i am running debian 8 32 bit with asterisk 11.25.3. I have installed the packages libneon27-dev & libical-dev then in /etc/asterisk the file calendar.conf has the following entries: [Gcalendar] type=caldav url=https://www.google.com/calendar/dav/atuxnull at gmail.com/events/ user=atuxnull at
