I am having trouble converting a .flv file uploaded from Adobe Flex / Flash Player 10 to a Red5 server using the speex coder: http://livedocs.adobe.com/flex/3/langref/flash/media/Microphone.html http://jira.red5.org/confluence/display/codecs/Speex+Codec Questions: 1. How do I extract the audio track out of such a .flv file? 2. How do I convert it from Speex to .wav PCM? Thanks.

compiling ffmpeg with --enable-libspeex (was Re: from Adobe Flex / Flash Player 10 .flv Speex via Red5 to .wav PCM?)
I am having trouble compiling ffmpeg to support speex, which didn't work with the ubuntu libspeex-dev package, but looks like it might with the Speex version 1.2rc1 tarball from http://speex.org/downloads/ How do I tell ffmpeg's configure and/or make to use the 1.2rc1 version of libspeex in /usr/local/include instead of the older debian/ubuntu libspeex-dev package in /usr/include/speex?

Conversion API for computer telephony systems (Dialogic Mu-law wa v format to PCM encoded wav format)
I am working on a project involving the conversion of a Mu-law sound format (Dialogic Mu-law wav format) file into a standard PCM encoded wav file format. Could somebody tell me if this feature is supported in the Vorbis software and if there is any source code available that performs this task. If not, does anybody know of any resources that might provide me with this tools or information.

celt codec for red5phone
I'm wondering if anyone is familiar with red5 (flash media server) and the phone application (http://code.google.com/p/red5phone/) It's written in java. Red5phone already uses the codecs PCMU, PCMA, iLBC and G.729. I'd like to see CELT added since it is open source and the best quality codec out there. Would anyone know how to port the celt codec to this application or to java? If

Live Streams
Hello, i am member of red5 project. I am studying ways to integrate your codec into red5 and in a near future inside Flash Player. I want to figure some things about Theora codec. -> Is theora proper for live streams (i.e live transcondig webcam)? What is latency for encoding process? -> Is the format tolerant to lost frames? Thanks for the moment.

extending bdrb / running multiple servers
Hi, Thanks for the help getting the new backgroundrb working, things are working fabulously now. I have two questions: 1) I have a few basic methods I need available on all my workers in order to communicate properly with my application... it seems to make the most sense right now to subclass BackgrounDRb::MetaWorker, or make a mixin module, because I''m actually extending some

send_file and locking files after download?
Hello, I''m working on a download service which grants users a one-time-download access to files.
