Using ACD functionality for main number answer and "music on hold"
I'm considering using the Agent "login/logoff" function to add to a queue that will be our "main number during the day" to answer. Periodically our receptionist is not at her desk and would be useful for her to login elsewhere and get the main number calls to transfer as she sees fit. If the agent's don't pick up in a specific amount of time, it's

Redhat 9 Music on hold
I have read every thread, I have Redhat 9, Asterisk 1.0.6, 2 T1 lines connected via TE405P. Everything works great, except MOH. I added an exten with MusicOnHold(30), and it plays just fine. Conferences have music when no one is in. I have SIP phones. When I place a call on hold, the CLI give no indication the call is on hold. I have set musiconhold(default) everywhere, removed it from everywhere,

Music on Hold doesn't play back for external callers
Hey all; I am experiencing an issue with music on Hold. I am running asterisk version 1.4.22, and have a default script set up in two places for MoH playback. For internal devices to my network that are SIP peering with asterisk, they simply dial 123 and hear the MoH music immediately. I'm using the default setup, where it just plays the wave files in the /var/lib/asterisk/moh directory. I

Music on hold and conferencing on OS X
We're setting up asterisk at the office (really doing some testing right now) and it is going to be hosted on a dual G5 XServe running OS X. We're an apple certified solutions provider, etc. so we want to build all our stuff on apple hardware and software. Anyway, the last sticking point is moh and meetme. Is there any solution to get moh and meetme working on OS X? Meetme

Music on Hold from Soundcard
Hey all, I've been trying to get MoH to work from the line-in on my soundcard, but as of yet have had no success. I found this script that should allow for it to happen: http://www.sineapps.com/news.php?rssid=722 The script, when run as the asterisk user, works properly and streams sound to stdin. But when Asterisk starts MoH it stops it immediately afterwards with no explanation. Has anyone

(Yet another) Music on hold problemand another...
Type 'mpg123' at the Linux CL. (no quotes) If the version is anything other than 59r, you problem is solved. Go to the Wiki and search for Music On Hold. Do the install of version 59r ONLY as described in the docs. Inbound IAX2 calls has no music on hold
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hmm, My music on hold has always worked fine. But I discovered that under incoming IAX2 calls they don't get any MOH! All I could find was a comment saying let me know if you find a solution... Nor does the debugger does say: Started music on hold So it's not starting the MOH, why? I do have it configured and it does play under other

Music on Hold: CPU Intensive Monster
OK. So I did a test last night. All of asterisk's threads where using 0.0% CPU. I made 1 call to our call queue. CPU jumped to average of 9% and stayed around that for the 2 minutes I was in the queue just listening to music on hold. MOH is in MP3 format and I'm using format_mp3. Phone was linksys PAP2-NA using G729. Can I reasonably assume that the 9% was decoding the MP3, then

1.6.1.10 Music On Hold
Hello. I just upgraded from 1.6.0.9 to 1.6.1.10 and it seems that the Music On Hold functionality has changed (or is bugged?). I have Aastra 6757i and Aastra 6731i phones, and now when i press the MusicOnHold button / change lines on the phone, MOH no longer starts. It did this in v 1.6.0.9. The invites received are exactly the same, only 1.6.1.10 doesn't ever start MOH. Is there some

MPG123, Music On Hold and Variable Bit Rate
I swear I read somewhere at sometime a command line that someone put forth that used mpg123 and sox to normalize the MP3 for MoH to a constant bitrate, etc... Through my search again for this information I can't find it. Can someone tell me if I am crazy and if so... does anyone have an "off the top of their head" solution to getting the bitrate constant for MoH? Thanks, Mike

Music On Hold not working with new 1.2.7.1 install
I have followed the instructions provided at: http://voip-info.org/tiki-index.php?page=asterisk+config+musiconhold.conf including installing asterisk-addons-1.2. I have left musiconhold.conf as is, calm-river et al are fine for now. However, no sound is heard and I get this message from the CLI when accessing MOH: -- Started music on hold, class 'default', on channel

distorted native music on hold
Hello, Using asterisk-1.2.1 I am trying to convert my music-on-hold files from .wav to alaw: % sox moh.wav -r 8000 -c 1 moh.al resample -ql The file sounds fine when listened with: % sox mox.al -t ossdsp /dev/dsp But when listened through asterisk with an alaw SIP phone the sound is clicky and too fast. Did I forget something in my conversion command? -- ldm@apartia.fr
