analog call progress - can I use backgrounddetect
Hi, There seems to be no solution for call progress on analog lines and using outgoing spool call files . My wave file starts playing before the person has answered the phone so the first part of the message is missed. Can the backgrounddetect app be used for this. I have tried but the message still plays before I answer. I generated 60 seconds wave file. [callprogress] exten =>

howto use kvm-amd on centos 5.1
Is there a way to use kvm-amd on centos 5.1? I dont want to mess with XEN. I want the hardware virtualization that is on my AMD chip. I played with putting 2.6.24 and centos 5.1 on my AMD laptop, got kvm-amd and that works. However I want to put this on my desktop that is running 2.6.18-53.1.14.el5. Is there a way or do I just wave to use 2.6.24 or 25. Thanks, Jerry

ChanSpy with Record() : Doesnt seem to work for an unbridged SIP call
Hello, I have an incoming Voip call, where an intro message is played (How can I help you today?) and the answer is recorded - with Record(tst:gsm,3,30). The call is not bridged. I also have an internal SIP phone which dials into an extension as soon as the Voip call lands, and spies on the unbridged Voip call, using ChanSpy. All is well before start of Record () - ChanSpy can hear the

ChanSpy and MeetMe
I have been successful using ChanSpy on a standard Dial call but when attempting to ChanSpy on an incoming call that has been added to a MeetMe conference (attempting to coach an agent that is speaking to a conference of callers) it seems to fail to connect to the channel. Here's the console dump: -- Accepting call from '2154182700' to '3399' on channel 0/18, span 4

chanspy does not pull the call back to asterisk after a reinvite
Hello all, I am allowing a reinvite between a snom 320 phone and a SIP gateway to take load off my Asterisk server. When I put the caller on hold, for example, Asterisk successfully reinserts itself into the rtp stream to play music on hold to the caller, but when I do a chanspy Asterisk does not seem to pull the call back. If I am spying on a channel when the call build up happens the reinvite

ChanSpy or other variant
I'm trying to figure out how to listen in to a channel that I specify. I have the impression I've seen this done via Flash web controls, but I'm trying to write something myself and I can't figure out what command would be used. ChanSpy looks great, but I don't see how to specify the channel. I have a channel identifier like "SIP/provider-08748db0" which is what I

Stopping chanspy
I would like to be able to stop the chanspy application and go to the next step in the dialplan but I do not see a way to do that. I have looked at the code and I do not see a way to stop the chanspy application. Even if there are no channels that match the chanprefix pattern the chanspy application is not exited. Hitting the * key stops spying on a channel but then starts spying on the same

call files
I am trying to use call files that dial and play a wave file on 3 asterisk boxes console dsp. This is working. The 3 boxes are noticeably out of sync. From using 3 different call files (time to process) I'm sure is the time delay. Is there a way to get these audios more in sync? Jerry

ChanSpy via external application
Hi, I have developped an application that monitors the status of my queues through the events triggered on the Manager Interface. This way, I can know the status of my Agent real time. Now, I have a new requirement that I must allow a manager to click on the Agent he wants to monitor and be able to monitor the call. My idea was to, when the user clicks on the Agent, I would Originate a call

Taking file from pyhsical disk to new virtual disk
Hi I am playing with virtualization on centos 5. I have an old redhat 7 system I still need so I want to virtualize it. I found the old disk, installed in the virtual environment but found I had done some additions WAY back. I want to be sure my virtual system is exactly the same as the ACTUAL system. Do I use cpio on the actual system to grab everything and then put that back on the virtual

Stopping chanspy followup
I am still trying to figure out a reasonable way to exit the chanspy application in a dialplan. For the most part I understand how things are working and there is one change I would like to propose. The way the 1.4.23.1 code seems to work is that if there are no channels that match the chanprefix argument the chanspy code stays in a loop waiting for a new channel to come into being that matches
