voicemail.conf serveremail
Hello, I was wondering if there is a way to change the "From" address (not just the Return-Path) for voicemail notification emails in Asterisk. It looks like the serveremail directive in voicemail.conf just changes the Return-Path. I'm looking for something analogous to the -r option in mailx, for example. I need this since the mail server I'm using requires the sender to be

Bug in voicemail module of Asterisk 1.4.2?
Dear users, I think I may found a bug in the voicemail module of Asterisk 1.4.2! Outgoing email notifications should use a real existing domain (let's call it domain.real) instead of the local domain (domain.local) so that some mail servers won't reject the mails. That's why I've set the serveremail option in voicemail.conf to asterisk@domain.real. Unfortunately Asterisk is

Today I discovered that voicemail attachments are not working on our latest asterisk server (version 1.4.24.1). I have two other asterisk servers that I maintain but I didn?t do the configuration on these so this is my first time that I have done the voicemail.conf. I get an email but there is no attachment. Maybe there is something else I need to configure that I don?t know about? Here is my

Currently the voicemails my asterisk system emails out have a return path of "asterisk at mydomain.com" I would like the return path to be "noreply at mydomain.com" I cannot find any place where I can change that. Fromstring when sending e-mail on recieved voicemail
Hi. I'm having trouble controlling the user info when sending e-mails from asterisk via sendmail to a Microsoft exchange server. When I receive the email the sender is always "asterisk@TheDomainISpecify.com" and the name of the sender is always "Added by portage for asterisk". I want to change both sender-address and the name of the sender. I'm using Gentoo for my

Unable to authenticate password - VM
Hello: I am relatively new to Asterisk, so this hopefully is an easy question for someone: I'm unable to get into voicemail to retrieve messages. Since I'm learning, the conf files are very basic. The relevant portions of the voicemail.conf is: [general] format=wav serveremail=asterisk@myserver.com append=yes maxgreet=30 maxmessage=120 [default] 100 => 9999,100,me@myserver.com When

VoiceMail fromstring?
I'm having tons of trouble getting the fromstring to work in voicemail.conf. I've tried both voicemail and voicemail2 but the emails still seem to be coming from asterisk pbx. Has anyone had any luck with this? ================= Here's my voicemail.conf: ; ; Voicemail Configuration ; [general] ; Default formats for writing Voicemail ;format=g723sf|wav49|wav format=wav49|gsm|wav ;

Question with email notification
I have been searching all over for the answer on all sources online and have come to the conclusion that it must be rudimentary or I am asking the wrong question. I cannot figure out how to configure the box to set the "from" address to a correct domain, as my outgoing isp will not pass mail from root@asterisk1.local, as I expect it wouldn't. Any help is appreciated, even just

SV: Re: Fromstring when sending e-mail on recievedvoicemail
As mentioned earlier I did try that. Someone suggested that there might be an issue with sendmail not "trusting" the asterisk user. And the default behaviour of that is to not allow modification of the "fromstring" and "serveremail". So if you have any idea how to fix that in Gentoo I would really appreciate it. MySQL Voicemail Problems
I know this has been moved to contrib, but is anybody using it successfully? We are looking at using Asterisk for the fine IVR features it has, tied in with another platform. Calls are getting routed to it, but the following is happening: (I've redacted phone#s and passwords) asterisk log: Sep 17 11:56:24 WARNING[17423]: No entry in voicemail config file for '+13609XX2000' Sep 17
