Any free video (or audio) softphone VOIP client under Linux with touchscreen friendly interface ?
Hi, I'm curious if anyone knows of any possibility to use video VOIP client (like Ekiga or Linphone or...) under Linux that could be operated by touchscreen friendly GUI (bigger buttons, large keypad, etc...) ? I like Ekiga, but GUI is small and cannot be operated via touchscreen... But maybe there are some skins for existing clients that are more touchscreen friendly ? Thanks in

most common VOIP echo simulaton for research purposes ?
Hi, I'm speech recognition researcher and would like to do some research on recognition robustness in echo distortion of speech signal. Since VOIP is becoming wide spread, I'd like to simulate (one or more) common echo distortions that mostly appear in voip communications ? Any example, FIR or IIR filter or acoustical system response ? Any other distortion worth researching ? Thanks

423 "Interval Too Brief" and expiry settings in sip.conf
Hi, I'm getting this error when registering with SIP server using Asterisk 1.4.10 and Freepbx... I'm getting this error no matter what I try to setup in sip.conf : - I'm getting confused whether options are maxexpirey=36000 or maxexpiry=36000 ? - Can I solve this with some settings in sip.conf or is this problem harder ? - I've read something about Asterisk's bug on this

Lower cost router suitable for VOIP ?
Hi, we're testing Asterisk 1 RC 2 behind ordinary router and NAT. Since we're sharing network with web server it seems like voip packets are not coming through fast enough (Digium demo dies after few seconds...). It's the same if I make direct calls (passing Asterisk) so we conclude it's network problem - it also work normally outside our router... I wonder what solutions can we

Marta, As Alan pointed out the loc->net policy is Continue, it should probably be loc->net ACCEPT. This is from Tom''s Shorewall Documentation... http://www.shorewall.net/Documentation.htm#Policy CONTINUE - The connection is neither ACCEPTed, DROPped nor REJECTed. CONTINUE may be used when one or both of the zones named in the entry are sub-zones of or intersect with another zone.

TEQL: 2 Mbit eth1 + 2Mbit eth2 = 1Mbit teql0
Hi there, I have two ethernet connections of 2Mbit/s each and I''m trying to add them together to one 4Mbit/s connection but I cannot get more than approximate 1Mbit/s! My setup: I have a LAN (10.2.18.0/24), connected to a larger network (10.0.0.0/8) by two WAN-connections with 2Mbit/s each. On each end I have a Linux router. I first setup the routers to use TEQL with one of the

xend messes up broadcast address on eth2
I''ve got a system with 3 nics. eth0 is down, eth1 is external and eth2 is internal. (This is in a "lab" so the "external" is a 10.x.x.x address.) Before starting xen, the broadcast for eth2 is 192.168.1.255, after starting it becomes 0.0.0.0 - which sure doesn''t look right to me - plus I''m getting networking problems. Been digging for a while and

Why ${EXTEN} variable changes after Goto ?
Hi, I'm trying to implement dynamic routing of incoming calls to local extension if previous outgoing call was unanswered. But after I do Goto to s-NOANSWER, variable ${EXTEN} changes to 's-NOANSWER'. I guess this is normal, but I don't understand why ? How to workaround on this one ? Thanks in advance, regards, Rob. Programme Maxstat
Sirs, I have recently been interested in your Maxstat. I have computed with my own programme the ranks (by using the Kaplan-Meier method and the log-rank test) with the formula (Observed-Expected)/(SQR Var). The results are similar but not exact to the M value obtained with the Maxstat. I would like to know whether you are using some correction or adjustment in computing the different ranks. Thank

Capi channel - can I route call to another channel or back to PBX and free current channel ?
Hi, I have following problem. Asterisk is connected to ISDN router on BRI interface. ISDN PBX is connected to another channel of BRI interface. Now I'd like to route all incoming calls first to Asterisk and then if caller wants to talk to extension on ISDN PBX then I'd like to route call to another capi channel but free the current one. Is this possible at all or do I need to take 2 capi

Two ISP load balancing + One ISP'' subnet explicit routing
Hello! I have a problem. May be here exist anyone who has encountered with the following problem. I have a router which is connected to 2 ISP from external side and one LAN internal interface. The feature is that the one ISP allocates a subnet xxx.xxx.xxx.160/28 for me but I split it into two subnets xxx.xxx.xxx.160/29 and xxx.xxx.xxx.168/29 and assign the latter to the internal interface.
