app_sms: using * as an smsc
Hi,
i've been discovering app_sms and it states that it can act as an smsc
for landline sms. Receiving SMS from my Gigaset Phones is no problem and
the SMS are stored as files on by * box. So far so good.
Let us assume that i have a couple of phones which should be able to
receive SMS directly from my * box ( and not from an SMSC from BT or
Deutsche Telekom ), So all these phones have

Asterisk as SMS Service Center
Hello!
Is it possible to run Asterisk as a SMS Service Center and does it work
over a directly connected ISDN (CAPI) interface card?
Did anyone already use Asterisk for that?

How to set the SMSC sender = VoIP provider 10-digit #
I have a VoIP provider that terminates to a PSTN 10-digit number. I
want to be able to send/receive SMS messages that appear to be from
the 10-digit number that my VoIP provider gives me.
I am currently integrating Asterisk with Kannel and it works great.
Unfortunately, my mobile phone provider Cingular, doesn't allow me to
alter my number when I send out SMS messages. Or at least

SMS using a PRI channel
Hi,
I have some experience in sending SMSs using smsclient.
I call the german Vodafone SMSC (01722278020),
and smsclient takes approx 20 secs to send a SMS.
The hardware is an Sedlbauer ISDN card.
Now, I want to do the same using asterisk and a digium PRI card.
I dialed using the manager with:
action: originate
channel: Zap/g4/01722278020
...
I assumed, the call will fail, because the remote

How to rewrite a CALLERID on outgoing calls
Hello all,
is here anybody who have any idea how i can insert a script or program to
rewrite a callerid with special rules. This ist necessary because of many
moving mobile offices who changes the telefonenumbers in short time
distances. I've found the SetCIDName feature. But this doesn't work in my
relation.
The phones from wich the calls are, are connected via OH323 Module and

Sending bulk SMS messages from Rails app
Hi,
One of my model generates short messages that has to be delivered to
mobile phones as SMS''s. I am not sure how to proceed from here.
1. What are the components I would need?
2. Do I need a GSM modem? If yes how would it integrate with my app?
3. Does my hosting provider needs to have a GSM modem?
4. Does sending an SMS cost anything? If yes how much would a single SMS cost?

[net-next V3 0/2] drivers: net: virtio_net: implement
This series add two important features. One of them changes the
.ndo_tx_timeout to include an extra parameter to identify the stuck
queue. Many drivers are using a nester loop to identify which queue is
stooped/stucked. This is a redundant work since dev_watchdog is doing
exactly the same thing. This is so interesting for other drivers to in
terms of code optimization.
