Asterisk STILL loosing IAX user's registration
Asterisk 1.4.21.1 built by asterisk @ lnxca Fedora 7 Well, I did the upgrade from version 1.4.16.2 to 1.4.21.1, activated the qualify for iax users, and Asterisk is still loosing the iax user's registration. Once again this is really wired because no configurations changes have been done to the system, the only change was a reinstallation of asterisk with user "asterisk" instead of

Loosing SIP registration.
Hi All, I am having problems with some SIP peers. I seem to loose registration. If I reload SIP the registration comes back. They usually stay registered for about 2 days before they drop. The problem is not all of them drop usually just the list 2 in the list. The other strange thing is that the 2 the do drop their registration do not occur at the exact same time. It could be many hours

IAX registration
Hi, I have a nufone connection (IAX2), works fine. In my iax.conf I do not specify a time interval that * needs to renew registrations with nufone server. However I can see following registration messages on my cli every 90 seconds (approximately) --Registered to '198.22.67.70', who sees us as 69.5X.XXX.XXX:4569 --Registered to '198.22.67.70', who sees us as 69.5X.XXX.XXX:4569

SIP and IAX Registration Problem with Dynamic IP
Hi there, I'm having problems with the current Debian unstable package of Asterisk. I'm not sure if it's package related or a general problem with Asterisk, so bear with me please. I'm running my Asterisk on my home net behind NAT. Deutsche Telekom's ADSL is slightly braindead in that they drop the connection after being online constantly for 24 hours so you have to reconnect

Forwarding SIP over IAX problem: No One Available
I'm hoping someone can help me out with this. I am basically just trying to separate my outbound and inbound calls into separate contexts instead of having everything in a single context. Any help would be appreciated. Perhaps I've missed something really obvious.... Here is the network layout: <remote> <--TDM400P--> <nattedbox> <--IAX--> <liveipbox>

SIP Registration --Giving up forever after very short network outage.
I'm looking for some help in how to keep asterisk from doing this. If we loose Internet or routing to our upstream provider even for only a few short minutes asterisk quickly gives up & never tries again. I have to do a manual reload to get it to register with my sip provider(s) again before incoming calls are accepted. This is really bad as it causes us to loose the ability to get

app_hackblock to prevent SIP/IAX reg trolling
Has anyone written an app that monitors SIP/IAX registration attempts? A couple of clients are being flooded with SIP registrations (but the source IP changes every few hours so IPtables won't do).. I would think that any attempt to reg 5 times with a bad password should cause a 5 minute timeout until reg is considered again. Has anyone written such an app? The name app_hackblock is my

Hi all, I've had a strange problem this morning and I know someone who has reported exactly this problem to me too last week: - I've setup a new server running Asterisk 1.2.4. Currently there is no Zaptel hardware install (but there will be soon). This server is behind a NAT router on an DSL line. The remote IAX server on the Internet (which handles the call termination / origin)

turning off IAX registration attempts
I have, in iax.conf the register statement: register => username:password@iaxtel.com This causes registration attempts to iaxtel.com for both IAX and IAX2. Every once in a while there is a packet for port 4569 keeping the IAX2 registration alive. This is fine. But, I have a barrage of registration attempts to iaxtel on port 5036 for IAX. Every UDP packet is answered with an ICMP packet
