Asterisk at OSCON?
Following up on some posts here a few weeks ago about a gathering of
Asterisk geeks at the upcoming OSCON in Portland.
There are a bunch of tentative-sounding "We ought to meet heres" and the
like.
Is it appropriate to try to set things up a bit more specifically at
this point?
Thx.

Dovecot in OSCON 2009?
Hi,
I'm thinking about attending OSCON 2009 with some other people from
Mailtrust and having some kind of an informal Dovecot meeting nearby.
We could for example talk about what Dovecot would need to work better
in your system, like missing features or if some things are annoyingly
difficult etc, or just general talking and socializing.
If you're interested in joining, send me a

Minimal Kickstart setups to use with Puppet
Hi,
I was at the Puppet talk at Oscon and I would like to try using
Puppet for PXE on RHEL machines and I was wondering if there are
standard minimal Kickstart recipes from which Puppet can then take
over.
Thanks,

No sound from Festival, but *something* is happening
Hey folks,
So I'm trying to get Festival() working on 1.2.17. I'm trying to use
app_festival:
Here's the show dialplan output from that extension:
'3378' => 1. Answer()
[pbx_config]
2. Festival(Hello Asterisk caller. How is your day?)
[pbx_config]
3. Playback(vm-goodbye)
[pbx_config]
4. Hangup()

Polycom + Voicemail + Display message envelope in LCD
Hi folks,
A user here has asked if we can display the current voicemail message's
envelope (date/time/caller id of message) in the LCD of the Polycom
phones we use (430 & 501). I realize this is somewhat like the many
caller-id-after-the-fact threads, but I figured maybe someone had solved
this a different way.
Has anyone been able to do this, via caller ID, messaging, the
mini-browser

PHP probes
Hi all,
I remember at OSCON 2005 there was talk of adding DTrace probes
to PHP (in fact, I have a photo of Bryan and Wes working on it!).
Did they ever get into the upstream branch, ''cause I don''t recall
seeing a --enable-dtrace (or similar) configuration option when
I recently built PHP 5.2.1. If not, is there an ETA?
TIA,

Features.conf and passing DTMF to the other end
Hi folks,
We have a problem here where users are calling a remote PBX and need to
use # and * to navigate it. We were using the Tt options in Dial() so
that we could later perhaps take advantage of this feature.
Features.conf's sections are fully commented out, so I wasn't expecting
the options on Dial() (the T and t) to have any effects. Anyway... I
plan to turn off the dialing options,

For Dial(), when calling party hangs up, redirect called party to another location in the dialplan?
Hi all,
I know when doing a Dial, when the called party hangs up, we have a few
different ways to redirect the calling party to other parts of the
dialplan.
In this case, I have someone who would like to do the opposite... When
the calling party hangs up after a Dial(), redirect the called party to
another location.
I'm not sure how else to describe what the user wants to do, but I'm

win32-ipc question
Hi all,
I recently had a question on win32-event and win32-ipc on IRC, so I thought
I should get around to documenting it. I had a couple questions, though.
First, what does one do with an IPC object? I originally thought this would
be a module that you mixed in but it appears to be a class. Second, does
anyone have a good example of how to use win32-event (using the CVS
version)?

Video Resolution
Hi
I've just installed Tachyon: The Fringe and it plays but the max
resolution that it detects is 1024x768.
My monitor is 1600x900. Is there some way of helping it detect the
full resolution?
I've tried running with a desktop, but no joy.
Wine version 1.7.46

[LLVMdev] Bug in InsertElement constant propagation?
Hi,
When I run opt on the following LLVM IR:
define i32 @foo() {
bb0:
%0 = bitcast i32 2139171423 to float
%1 = insertelement <1 x float> undef, float %0, i32 0
%2 = extractelement <1 x float> %1, i32 0
%3 = bitcast float %2 to i32
ret i32 %3
}
->
It generates:
define i32 @foo() {
bb0:
ret i32 2143365727
}
While tracking the value I see that the floating point value
