BLF support in Asterisk and early/confirmed/terminated/proceeding NOTIFY states.
I have a setup with Yealink phones & Asterisk Server (all latest patches). I am using BLF to display the states of other phones. While this works MOST of the time (busy, being called) it does NOT work when a phone is NOT regisstered at all, the yealink phones display a green dot EVEN if a phone is turned off (try explain this to users, they are shaking their heads!!!) I can see on the

snom programmable buttons
Hi, I want to pick up a call with the snom's programmable buttons(snom190 -SIP 3.60x, snom360-SIP 4.1) with asterisk server (v 1.2.0), I tried with the option 'Destination' and when the incoming call arrive to another snom phone the button blinking. In this way I can only pick down it pressing the blinking button. The solution is call the *8 or parcking the call but my pbroblem

Snom 300 Echo
We're deploying an asterisk-based phone system at all of our branch offices in an effort to eliminate long-distance costs incurred from the constant branch to branch calls. We're using the Snom 300's at all offices for the desk phones and X100P cards to interface to 2 analog lines. I'm having a problem tuning all the echo out of the system. So far two branches are using the

Finding pairs
Dear R Helpers, I am a newbie and recently got introduced to R. I have a large database containing the names of bank branch offices along-with other details. I am into Operational Risk as envisaged by BASEL II Accord.  I am trying to express my problem and I am using only an indicative data which comes in coded format. [OT] Yealink Phones
I've just started deploying these (well the T28P model) after years of Snom issues and they look pretty good (although the documentation is execrable; if you thought the Snom stuff was obtuse Yealink have got them knocked into a cocked hat!). Anyway, for provisioning I use HTTP with a DHCP entry like:- # # Yealink Phones # group { #

BLF and call-limit in 1.8
Hello We have recently upgraded our internal PBX from 1.4 to 1.8. This made the BLF lamps on our Polycom phones stop working. After a lot of googling and a lot of testing, I have been unable to find a solution. I did try to change the call-limit value from 4 to 1, and this actually made BLF work (noone suggested this, and what documantation I can find states that this option is deprecated). This

Manager Originate without phone off hook?
I'm trying to keep the DND status of my Snom phones and the astdb in line but I'm stuck on integrating my gui DND button which talks to * using the manager interface (actually it uses Astmanproxy as the gui host is on a different network to asterisk and can't see the Snom's across the network). All's working fine in my Dialplan; when someone dials the code for DND-on or

Lamps on Snom phones
Hello Happy New Year to all!! I've just completed porting from Asterisk 1.2 to 1.4. I did this by doing a clean install on a new box, and moving over configuration and scripts where needed. All went surprisingly well! Anyway, one lingering issue is that the function key "lamps" on our Snom phones have all stopped working! We're using a mix of Snom 290/320/360 phones and

SIP DTMF not acted on for features in 1.4.0b3
Asterisk seems to be ignoring DTMF for features in Asterisk 1.4.0b3 My SNOM sends the dtmf-relay and Asterisk gets it because I can see it in the sip debug. However, once seen, Asterisk doesn't actually do anything about it. I've checked features and that seems fine. Is this a bug or something that I've screwed up? For the record, here's the features setting: asterisk*CLI>

Polycom Do Not Disturb button and asterisk hints
Hi, Is there ANY way for me to see the status of the Polycom DND buttons in the Asterisk hints? I`m using the BLF buttons to see the status of other people`s lines, and DND should logically be somehow reflected (I don`t care as much about Polycom showing the BLF button as DND, but I do care about Asterisk hints showing it in the CLI). Right now, a Polycom phone on DND shows up as being

Odp: Finding pairs
Dear Mr Petr Pikal I am extremely sorry for the manner I have raised the query. Actually that was my first post to this R forum and in fact even I was also bit confused while drafting the query, for which I really owe sorry to all for consuming the precious time. Perhaps I will try to redraft my query in a better way as follows. I have two datasets "A" and "B" containing the

Quoth Steve Murphy... >Date: Mon, 12 Jan 2009 08:51:03 -0700 > >QUESTIONS: > >Which of the two would you see being useful to you? Obvious comment really but given LEG based CDR, one can determine the 'Simple' data but you can't work it the other way. I'd therefore find LEG based CDR more useful as the granularity (time on Hold, in Queue, Waiting on pre-xfer ring

Simple Asterisk to Asterisk SIP Call Setup?
I have two Asterisk systems that can route to each other via a VPN with firewalls disabled for testing purposes. Each Server can see (tested via nmap) UDP port 5060 on the other. So... I thought that I could simply use a Dial command in Server A's config to place a SIP call to Server B... but it doesn't seem to work. Server A (192.168.1.33) has: exten => *136,1,Dial(SIP/90 at
