openvz resources
Anyone here running asterisk on openvz, if so what are your experiences? Right now we are trying to tune out the resources for the difference VEs, but not with a whole lot of luck. Just wondering if someone watching could shed some like on what has worked for them, and how many exts/simultaneous calls etc are happening. Monitor and SIP transfers (SIP REFER)
Hello list, I need to record all calls. So I'm using application Monitor. Works good until someone transfers a callee to another internal extension. Example: A calls B A set B on hold A calls C A transfers B to C with SIP transfer (SIP REFER - with phone funktions and not Asterisk attended transfer). I found http://bugs.digium.com/view.php?id=0013538 . "corruptor" asked about this

Problem with Remote-Hold/MusicOnHold
Hello, I have a problem with MoH at attended transfers. - Mobile A dials into Asterisk - Asterisk dials another Mobile B - Mobile B presses *1 for attended transfer and for example 20 to dial extension 20 - Asterisk sends "Remote hold" message to Mobile A, so the carrier of Mobile A starts playing it's own music-on-hold - Mobile B hang up, so Mobile A should be connected to

After Monitor() files disappear
Hello list, Using Asterisk 1.2.29 I use the Monitor() application. In extensions.conf I have set MONITOR_EXEC to my script (for mixing files together and convert to mp3) and I set TOUCH_MONITOR on every new channel which has to be recorded. But sometimes I'm missing the recording files. I had a look to the Asterisk-Log and saw those lines: Feb 10 15:18:57 NOTICE[16772] res_monitor.c: monitor

E1 signalling pridialplan
Hello, I have a little problem with signalling. An E100p is connected to an Alcatel PBX, wich has an E1 to the outside. Located in Germany. zapata.conf: switchtype=euroisdn pridialplan=local prilocaldialplan=local overlapdial=yes signalling=pri_cpe .... With asterisk 1.0.2 I can call from a SIP phone to a phone connected to the Alcatel and the SIP number is correctly displayed at the caller.

CDR on transfers of called ZAP channel
Hello list, I have a problem with called ZAP channels making an attended-transfer or blind-xfer. Signalling at the phones is ok, but the CDR of Asterisk is wrong. At the moment there is a bristuffed Asterisk 1.2.18 running with bristuff-0.3.0-PRE-1y-g. Here is my dialplan, I simplified it a bit: [default] exten => 0123456789,1,Macro(dialpstn,${EXTEN}) [macro-dialpstn] exten =>

[URGENT] Zap channels fail to load
I have spent some time this morning trying to add an Astribank to our current Asterisk, but it failed, so I just removed the hardware, restore the config files to the original setup and started asterisk.; I could see that no Zap channels are started so I did load chan_zap.so: pbx*CLI> module load chan_zap.so [Feb 26 10:32:18] WARNING[3809]: pbx.c:2968 ast_register_application: Already have an

choose.files limit?
Howdy, When I use the choose.files command to read files a large number of file names to a character vector inside a function, used to access these files one after the other, there appears to be a limit. I do not know whether it is arbitrary, but in this case the limit was 991 files. The file names are long. Does that matter? The error message that appears says that it cannot find file #992

Echo Cancellation, what format does the .sw files have
Hi I'm debugging why echo cancellation does not work in my app using the DUMP_ECHO_CANCEL_DATA flag. What format does the data I receive have, looks like 16bit integers just dumped but when plotting it in MATLAB I do not get a raw audio data signal I expected. Gemeinschaft released
Hi, Just wanted to let you know that we have just made our GPL toolkit "Gemeinschaft" available to the public. (Finally.) Mostly German for now - about half of the strings in the language strings file have been translated to English. I'm a software developer, not a marketing guy, so ... svn co https://svn.amooma.de/gemeinschaft/trunk gemeinschaft-trunk German readers: see

Strange "feature"
Hi all! Doing my first steps with OCFS (1.0.9), I ran across a nifty little "feature".... We've been trying if DMP with QLogic 2300 HBAs works without having DMP activated (ok, blame on me...). ocfstool allows you to mount different partitions on the same mountpoint, but after we tried that, everything went to state "D" and we chose to reboot the whole cluster (4

Display R graphics windows in second monitor
Greetings, I would like to display the R graphics window on one monitor of my computer while simultaneously working with the R console and multiple script windows in another monitor. Is this possible? I know I can use Tinn R or something similar but I would prefer not to use these secondary programs if possible. Any advice would be appreciated. How well does printing support scale in Samba 2.2.x ?
Hi, I'm working on a printing project consolidating a bunch of NT machines with a Solaris printing machine. I'm concerned about the scalability if I increase the number of printers from say 20 too 300. How does it effect the response time for looking up and changing device setting etc. Thanks Gunnar Gunnarsson

Subarrays
Define an array > v<-1:256 > dim(v)<-rep(4,4) Subarrays can be obtained as follows: > v[3,2,,2] [1] 71 87 103 119 > v[3,,,2] [,1] [,2] [,3] [,4] [1,] 67 83 99 115 [2,] 71 87 103 119 [3,] 75 91 107 123 [4,] 79 95 111 127 In the general case this procedure is very tedious. Given an array A, dim(A)=(dim_1,dim_2,...,dim_d) and two vectors
