Call parking
Hi, Been playing with Call parking, and I can`t help but wonder if I am doing something incorrectly. The way I understand it (using default config in features.conf), is I would transfer a call to extension 700, which would park the call, tell me "701". I could then hang up, go fetch the fright person and tell him "call 701 you have a call waiting for you". The way I

Re: method for communication between containers
Dear Daniel, Thank you for your email. According to your suggestion, I tried to use the shared memory filesystem for data exchange between the host machine and the container. The steps are as follows: 1) create an empty file in the host machine (/tmp1/file1). 2) run #chmod 777 /tmp1 and #chmod 777 /tmp1/file1. 3) expose /tmp1 to the container by configuring the container with the following XML

Re: method for communication between containers
Dear Daniel, As you know, following your suggestion, I can expose shared memory to two containers hosted by the same machine, thus the two containers can exchange data. Now I have a new problem: how does the containers avoid concurrent accesses to the shared memory? In a native system, this can be achieved by using semaphore. But I don't know how the two containers can see the same semaphore.

Sticky Park
My company for various reasons has asked that I come up with a way to have previously parked calls be re-parked in the same parking slot. I have looked at setting up asterisk so that the receptionist chooses which slot to place a call, but I think there is an easier way. That is when I came up with the idea of "Sticky Park". Here is how it would work. A call would come in and

endwhile jumping out of macro
Hi I have a 3 level nested while-endwhile loop in a macro that when the execution reaches endwhile, it is jumping out to the While at the caller macro. It shouldn't since the are instructions after the endwhile. -- Executing [s at macro-call-from-outside:72] EndWhile("DAHDI/i1/1234567-4a7f", "") in new stack == Channel 'DAHDI/i1/1234567-4a7f' jumping out of

Unexpected results with "While" and "EndWhile" applications
I seem to be having a conceptual problem with the "While" and "EndWhile" applications. It seems that on the first cycle, even if the result of the "While" is false that the enclosed applications will get run. Is this expected? It seems to be counter-intuitive, but I don't know what the intent of the While routines is. I could of course put a

Tellabs and a PRI
Another question, Is anybody using the Tellabs 2572 EC with a PRI. When we moved from our analog lines to a PRI, I thought it would be simple stuff moving the EC to the PRI. Changed signaling, made sure that channel 24 wasn't being ECd and everything came up. But, I was getting complaints of random echo on the PRI. Local echo. Also, we weren?t able to do any kind of modem dial-outs (Adit

Tellabs 2572 EC Photos here.
Hello Dan, Have a look at this link: http://www.adcomcorp.com/asterisk/tellabs I got those pictures up there, may be of help. In essence, 1 pair is either a tx pair or an rx pair. If I recall, Orange and Green should be one side, and blue brown should be the other side. I tried to upload them to the wiki (even 40% size) but they didn't show up for some reason... Files are large on the

Echo Canceller Wiring (Tellabs.. HOWTO..?)
Hello, I have been researching Echo Can's for a while now, and wanted to post this out to the list to solicit feedback (and if my assumptions are correct, hopefully help others out)... If anyone out there knows anything about wiring up an Echo Can, and my outline below is incorrect, please let the me/list know.. I have posted the Documents I received from Tellabs at:

Software E.C. Along with Tellabs
Since putting my Tellabs EC into place around 2 weeks ago, the echo problem has almost been eliminated. Reports of some very faint echo, but everybody is happy. My question is, if I were to also turn on the Asterisk Software EC, would this remove any residual echo that may make it past the Tellabs Hardware EC. Thanks, Doug

Unable to use # as feature key prefix
Hi folks, I was using the following featuremap: blindxfer => *1 disconnect => *9 atxfer => *2 parkcall => *7 automixmon => *0 and everything worked. Then the need arouse to use some features like automixmon during a conference, but MeetMet has the * key bound to the (admin) menu. Thus, in order to enable features like automon and transfers even during a conference, I

Tellabs 2572 Configuration Advice?
Can anyone share any advice / documentation on how to configure a Tellabs 2572 T1 echo canceller? I connected one between a T100P and an Adtran TA750 FXO/FXS channelbank, but when echo cancellation is active I get a LOT of snap-crackle-pop (and other problems) on the line. The 2572 has a bunch of configuration options and they're impossible to guess without documentation, which I cannot find

USB bootable (using syslinux)
Hello! I just started using Linux and I like the possibilities it offers. I'm using Suse Linux (no MS Windows installed at all). I also discovered that syslinux is capable of making a USB pendrive bootable (with graphic menus). This is very nice. Since I'm a Windows user (up until now), I have some questions: 1 - I already downloaded syslinux 3.82 How do I install it on my pen drive

tftpd multicast option kills other negotiation options
Hi, The tftpd can not handle a request with the multicast option set. If the request has additional options eg. blksize, all options are discarded and a oack is newer sent. The client works fine with the atftpd server. I am not after an implementation of the multicast feature. However, the server should not discard the other options. Any thoughts about this? Problem: features (from features.conf) not available if call was originated by manager API or call file
Hello asterisk-users, I setup my asterisk to support several features like automon, blindxfer, atxfer, parkcall etc. by using features.conf and the global variable DYNAMIC_FEATURES=automon#blindxfer#atxfer#parkcall#disconnect in extension.conf. Every Dial() command in my diaplan has the appropriate parameters out of {tTkWwW}. For calls from my SIP phones everything works fine. Pressing #1 will

[LLVMdev] Loop Unfolding in LLVM
Hello, I am looking for a loop unfolding procedure implemented in LLVM that helps to transform a while-loop to n-layer If-statements. The transformation should be on IR, although the example below is illustrated on the source level. original loop: * WHILE (condition) DO action ENDWHILE* Expected unfolded loop (2-layer): * IF (condition) THEN* * action* * IF
