Verizon SIP "trunking" Field Trial
All, We are in the process of trying to setup our network to use Verizon's SIP "trunking" product. They say that since Asterisk is not on their certified list of approved devices, we need to go through a field trial to get it approved before allowing us to use their service. Where we are at is getting the design approved. We are trying to watch our budget at the same time. We

asterisk and verizon DSL
Is anyone succesfully running Asterisk behind verizon residential DSL? I seem to be having some problems with my Asterisk server switching to Verizon. I'm attempting to do some troubleshooting, but I'm really interested in knowing of anyone's setup that already has Asterisk working with Verizon residential DSL. Thanks AJ ------------------------------------------------------ This

Verizon VoiceWing support
Has anyone been able to get Asterisk to work with Verizon's VoiceWing service? I'm in the process of testing Asterisk to see if it will fit the needs of my company. Since I already have Verizon's VoiceWing VoIP service, I figured if I can tie into it, that would let me evaluate service going to a VoIP provider. I've done a bunch of searching, but didn't turn up

Mounting through my ISP works/doesn't work.. Verizon Avenue problems... :-(
Hi, I HAD Verizon ONLINE. I was ABLE to mount samba served machines from the internet... eg \\strange.dreamhost.com\ from my XP box. I switched to Verizon AVENUE. Now I can't. (When I go through a VPN, though, I am able to mount the directory going around Verizon Avenue's network) I'm thinking this is a port restriction that Verizon Avenue has going on. I'm trying to

Problem with Verizon Wireless
Hi, I'm having a problem with Verizon Wireless, I'm hoping someone here knows the right way to phrase the trouble report so it gets to someone at Verizon who can solve the problem. We have DIDs that simultaneously ring on voip lines, and Cell numbers. Verizon voicemail is turned off. Every thing works the way it's supposed to, UNLESS one of the cellphones is turned off, or in a

Verizon Vonage 101
I've dug down as far as I could on www.uspto.gov for anything remotely close to what is going on with Verizon and all searches end with only two possibilities in regards to what is going on. So unless the patent was issued to someone else and Verizon bought it, these are the only two possible patents this case could be based on... US 7,142,646 B2 Voice mail integration with instant

Upgrading to Verizon FIOS from Verizon DSL - Linux machine as router/Gateway/LAN server]
Greetings, A long time ago I setup a Linux machine as a Gateway/LAN Server using Verizon DSL as the ISP. I used the following HOWTO as the guide - DSL HOWTO For Linux: http://www.tldp.org/HOWTO/DSL-HOWTO/index.html Is there something comprable for Verizon FIOS? My Gateway machine runs Fedora. For a new server, I'm considering setting up a CentOS machine, while still using Fedora on my

Re: Anyone using verizon fios ftth for analog voice?Any echo?
I am using Verizon FIOS to my home. I subscribe to a 5 MB down 2 MB up data package. I continue to pay for a standard voice line in addition to the broadband connection only for local calling, fax and emergency 911 use. The way it works is that the fiber optic connection is terminated on the house via an ONT (optical network termination). The ONT can provide connectivity for three types of

Verizon PRI Setup Problems - Only Busy and Congestion
Hi - We're moving up in the world to a PRI (Verizon), and I'm having some problems with it. I'm new to this PRI thing, though, so maybe I've just screwed up a simple config detail. I've got a TE410P on a Dell PE1600SC (ServerWorks Chipset). The card itself has a green light for the PRI, and Zttool shows Span1 as "OK". All I'm getting when I call into any

Anyone using verizon fios ftth for analog voice? Any echo?
Hello All, I was wondering, is anyone using verizon's fios going into a zaptel 4 port card? If so, has anyone experienced echo issues at all? I am under the assumption that echo issues should be minimal on a ftth connection, but want to confirm if this is the case. I have some customers with nasty echo and fios is an option, but if it's not likely to solve anything, would end up just

Hard Ground (On Ring)
We have been experiencing static noise on one of our phone lines connected to our Adtran Total Access 750 which is then connected to a T100P card. I was convinced that, after rain storms, the static would get worse, it was surely a problem of Verizon's. Verizon sent a field rep out today and he told our secretary (I was busy) that there was a hard ground on the Ring portion of the line.

Asterisk use with verizon hotspot
Apparently Verizon is blocking or changing packets on port 5060 so my softphone from my hotspot will not work. How do I set asterisk (11.23.0) to run default 5060 for all other devices I have - BUT for my software run on a different port like 5070? I'm using linphone and is easy to change the ports from 5060 to 5070 ( I think). Thanks, Jerry -------------- next part -------------- An HTML

CallerID not passed to Sprint & Verizon Cellphones via XO PRI
Hi, I have an odd problem where when a call is made to any landline phone the callerid number shows up on the caller id device with no problems. However when I call a cell phone from Sprint or Verizon it always shows up as unavaliable. I've tried multiple cell phones from each carrier. Though today I called a t-mobile phone and the callerid came through fine. Is this an * level problem

Hello there everyone. ?I'm trying to set up a server that will "push" via rsync every night to a server in my home. ?The verizon firewall is quite robust, and it makes connecting a bit tricky. ?Does anyone have any tips on how I might set this up? Question on clicking
This isn't an asterisk question, more of a telco question. Hopefully someone on this list involved with telco can answer it. I have a client who is using asterisk with analog phone lines. There is a bad clicking noise on the line. "Click.... Click.... Click". We have narrowed it down to being the farmer's fencer next door. (And by next door I mean 2 acres away).

Verizon-Vonage Lawsuit
May be slightly off topic, but I was wondering what everyone thinks of this latest ruling against Vonage? Does anyone really know what Verizon hold patents for, and could those patents possible affect anything in Asterisk? Who knows who Verizon will go after next. Sangoma PRI
Hi, I have a client who has a system with a Sangoma 1 port PRI card with echo canceling in it. For some reason, when the system comes up the PRI will stay up for about 4-5 hours, then drop. "zap show status" shows everything as ok, but we can't make or receive any calls until the system is rebooted. Just restarting asterisk does not fix the problem. I am going to call
