Re: zapata with Tiger3XX compilation error
Ok so I read the Linux 2.6 related README and finally compiled propperly, I thought but at the end I notice that lscpi does report the cards, but I cant modprobe wcfxo nor zaptel and I do have wcfxo.ko in the /lib/modules/2.6.8/extra/ directory, so what gives? This is a Debian Sarge, thanks! # # make clean starts here # make[1]: Entering directory `/usr/src/zaptel-1.4.0/menuselect' rm

OSLEC and zaptel-1.4.5.1
Hi all, After reading great things about the OSLEC Echo Canceller (http://www.rowetel.com/ucasterisk/oslec) and seeing the reactions of people who have tried it on a recent Trixbox thread (http://www.trixbox.org/forums/trixbox-forums/open-discussion/need-people-echo-problems), it sounds like it is the "bees knees" for sorting out echo problems with cards like the x100p. Has anyone

Problems with CentOS ztdummy kernel 2.6
Hi List, I am having some trouble with installing the latest version of ztdummy on a CentOS Kernel 2.6 system. I have installed a few Asterisk systems on Slackware Kernel 2.4.x without any issues, unfortunately there is no choice about this distro, or kernel as it has been preinstalled by someone else. And so I am in the dark with an unfamiliar distro and kernel. I am fairly sure the

Error compiling zaptel 1.4.0

Having read the majority of the "Asterisk: The Future of Telephony" I am now attempting to compile zaptel 1.4.0 and am receving the very same series of errors mentioned in this post on the forums: http://forums.digium.com/viewtopic.php?t=13619&highlight=zaptel1+++zttranscode++error However, there has

MeetMe Conference on Asterisk-1.4.13
Hello all, I am planning to setup a MeetMe conference functionality on Asterisk-1.4.13without having a Zaptel card. All users will be calling through SIP only. AFAIK, the said application needs a timer which makes use of the ztdummy module. I have basically two (2) problems I am encountering here that [1] I can't load the ztdummy.ko module and [2] Asterisk don't run when running it

Zaptel timing on TE405P
Hi, I'm wondering why zttest shows Best: 99.976 -- Worst: 99.967 -- Average: 99.971469, Difference: 99.971469 Shouldn't it be 100% as timing is hardware and comes from PRI? Am I missing some kernel config? Zaptel ztdummy module causes playback to fail
I'm using asterisk 1.4.11 and Zaptel version 1.4.5.1 with kernel 2.6.22. I have the ztdummy module loaded, which is using zaptel and rtc. When the ztdummy module is loaded, sounds are not heard when using the asterisk "background" command. When the ztdummy module is unloaded, which also removes zaptel and rtc, sounds are heard. I've also tested this under kernel 2.6.21 with the

Zaptel under FC6

Now I am trying to install the drivers. # modprobe zaptel FATAL: Module zaptel not found. Fair enough, no zaptel driver is found on the system. Is there are any known problems with FC6? Kernel Panic in wct4xxp during unload on Zaptel-1.4.4
I attempted an upgrade of our production system from Asterisk/Zaptel 1.2 to 1.4 this weekend. Intially everything looked like it was working properly, but some time in the day following the upgrade, the system died to a kernel panic. I wasn't able to catch the entire kernel dump on the console unfortunately. I attempted to isolate the panic, and found that when 'service zaptel stop'
