Which Java FastAGI implementation has the most "market share"?
When I was looking for a Java FastAGI interface for Asterisk I came across asterisk-java first and didn't realize there was more than one out there. It seems to work fine and I've got my first project working with it, but I was wondering which Java FastAGI implementation is the most popular and how they compare against each other. So I'm aware of: asterisk-java JastAGI

About the weather..
Ok, I've been away from the list for sometime now and feel as though I'm going to ask something that's been asked many times before, yet I find nothing in the wiki, so here goes: I notice that allison has done recordings for weather forecasts, yet I find no agi's that parse forecasts and use this recordings to piece together the forecast. I find plenty of weather agi's, but

TDM card and voicemail volume
Hello, I saw some conversation about this in the archives, but nothing definitive. If a call comes in over a CO line via the TDM400P, the Comedian Mail recording volume is so low it's inaudible. Calls coming in via SIP or IAX do not have this problem. Does anyone have any information on this issue? Thanks, Adam The contents of this email message and any attachments are confidential and

Backup for linux/asterisk
After getting my feet wet with asterisk@home, I want to set up a second asterisk box to add a call shop billing and other add-ons such as LCR. My question is as follows. Is there a backup program that will save to a tape drive or a USB CD Writer so if I mess up an install I don't have to go through a complete reinstall? I saw a few programs out there but they required X windows and from

How are you using Asterisk at Home ?
I am very new to Asterisk, it was a weekend project of mine that I jumped into this weekend. I have it up and working on a box at home, and I am nearly half way through the book I purchased friday "Asterisk: The Future of Telephony 2nd Edition". Anyway, I started this out so I could help a friend who wanted a VoIP PBX solution for his small business. I have been working with Cisco

OT: HOWTO: Create a 90mbit bonded link 600 metre s away with Cat 3 or telco wire [long]
I was given the challenge recently of creating a LAN-LAN bridge between two buildings several hundred metres from each other, using only existing Cat 3 wiring and without having to resort to an expensive and finicky 5 Ghz wireless link. I was able to create a 90 megabit link for about $3,000 Cdn with new PC's, CentOS 4.1, and the newly avaliable Black Box VDSL Ethernet Extender, which

Help! - Unintelligible prompts and music
I have set up a couple of test Asterisk servers and have never had a problem with sound. I've just done a fresh install on a dual 1GHZ PIII Asus box running Fedora Core3 with the Digium PCI Dev kit and following all the various Core 3 How-To's. I can make calls ok but when any sound is sent from the Asterisk box such as voice prompts and music on hold the sound is completely chopped up in

Pinouts for T1/E1 crossover cable WAS "RE: what cable to connect a legacy PBX to a TE410P ?"
Can't anyone stop self-promotion and tell the poor guy what he needs. A T1/E1 X-over cable using an RJ-45 (8-cond.) is pinned out as follows: 1 - 4 2 - 5 3 - NU 4 - 1 5 - 2 6 - NU 7 - NU 8 - NU NU = Not Used I have not in my experience seen any problems with using a Good Quality Cat5 vs. Cat 3 (telco standard) cable for X-connects. YMMV, but you should be fine. As far as the shielding
