There doesn't seem to be any reason, or reproducible thing that I can do to make it crash, it just decides it has had enough, and crashes. Installed IVONA Voices (http://www.ivona.com/), which seemed to run OK. Required SAPI5 installation with Wine in Windows ME emulation mode beforehand. Added another Text-to-Speech (TTS) engine (Demo of Text Aloud) to test, and it worked, using one of IVONA's voices. Copy is, of course licensed, although the demo has same results. I find that the default quantile-comparison (Q-Q plot) of R-commander has no group option, and I happened to notice RcmdrPlugin.plotByGroup in the packages list. As the name is so explicit, I installed it, loaded it, R-commander restarted, but the 3 menu item under Graphs->plot by group are all greyed out. What could be wrong? --
