zaptel ppp HDLC Receiver Overrun messages
I have a pair of sites tied together with a T1 line running zaptel PPP on either end. The system works, but I keep getting these messages in the kernel logs, and users are reporting connection problems (TCP timeouts, and hangs) especially under high usage. --snip-- HDLC Receiver overrun on channel WCT1/0/1 (master=WCT1/0/1) HDLC Receiver overrun on channel WCT1/0/1 (master=WCT1/0/1) HDLC

PRI Dialing failure?
So I reached the point where my PRI is accepting incoming calls, but I cannot dialout. I must be doing something stupid, but I can't figure it out. The Asterisk box is sitting between the Mitel and the phone company, and has PRI lines to each. Asterisk was built from CVS r1-0 Log for a call from mitel heading outbound: ------------------------- -- Accepting call from '' to

modem passthru
Our setup is: 9.6k Modem <-analog-> Mitel SX-200 <-(pri)-> Asterisk <-(pri) -> Telco The modem works fine with the Mitel directly connected to the Telco, but once we add Asterisk in between connections start failing. I suspect the issue is caused by the echo canceller, since I believe the issue appear about the time we turned echo cancellation on (for the IAX users). We

Application.rb params
I need to check if a parameter is set so that I can build some information for my application, but No matter how I format my if statement in the file " Application.rb" it return the following error. You have a nil object when you didn''t expect it! You might have expected an instance of Array. The error occurred while evaluating nil.[] Here is the line if params[:day] So we

Outbound E&M?
I've got a new setup (different building) where Asterisk is sitting between the PBX and phone company on a E&M T1 line. Mitel PBX <-> Asterisk <-> Phone company Inbound works. Asterisk gets the in-band digits from the phone company and hands the call off to the Mitel just fine. Outbound is weird. Asterisk seems to expect that the mitel will send routing information

X100P Ringing/Answering
It appears that my X100P card is only answering after two rings. Ideally, I'd like it to answer on the first ring. Here is the incoming section of my extensions.conf file: [incoming] exten => s,1,Answer exten => s,2,BackGround(demo-congrats) ; Play a congratulatory message exten => 1234,1,Goto(jgunther,1234,1) exten => 4321,1,Goto(mgunther,4321,1) exten =>

Inter-digit minimum
I see there is the DigitTimeout application that sets the maximum time between digits before asterisk will interpet. Is there any way to control the minimum? We are having problems with incoming calls on our X100P where callers try to dial 10, but the 1 gets detected twice and they end up on extension 11. Thanks Mark Farver

void your warranty and get a 3.3V/5V TE405P
http://www.mixdown.ca/~asterisk/ The card seems to be working fine. Don't expect warranty on it though. :-) Why? Because I wanted a quad-span T1 card which worked in the high-end systems I was intending it for, but that I could also keep a few in stock and if the system mainboard failed, pull the card an put it in a standard PC system. I didn't want to have to stock 3.3V and 5V

E100P works with PCI 3.3V and 5V?
Hi, I just bought the E100P from digium. It has both keys: 3.3V and 5V, so it would fit both, in a 5V-PCI slot and in a 3.3V PCI slot. Is it true, that I can plug it without destroying it in an ordenary 5V PCI slot? Roger.

Wildcard remote looping
Is there something special that needs to be done to allow a T100P/T400 to respond to a remote loop request? I am having some issues with a Point to point T1 line using zaptel ppp. This line gave us small problems when we had a pair of Cisco 2600's on either end but now with the zaptel ppp it is going down every couple of minutes for 15 intervals. The phone company says the line is good to

PRI to PRI not passing callerid
I must be doing something stupid, but I can't figure it out. I have three PRI lines connected to Asterisk, one from the phone company, and two more connected to PBXs. Asterisk uses the incoming DID information to decide which PBX to route the call to. Should be simple. Asterisk is clearly getting the caller id info from the phone company: -- Accepting call from '512345xxxx'

Suggested Motherboard for TE410P
Hi all, I'm looking for a new system which will use the TE410P. Originally I was going to use a dual Athlon MP system, but my supplier tells me these are being phased out now, and so will be difficult to find replacement parts later. So, I am looking for suggestions of suitable motherboards with 3.3V PCI slots for the following CPU types (in order of my personal preference) AMD Opteron 1xx

Is it mandatory to give power supplytoTDM400Pcard
No I got confused....yes they are FXO modules with POTS lines coming from bell attached. The only thing I can think of is that since the card supports 3.3v or 5v PCI slots that maybe on a 3.3v slot it requires the other connection all the time because it really does need the 5v and is just not picky about where it comes from. -Jonathan -----Original Message----- From:

Soekris net4801 and analog interface?
Is anyone using a net4801 and an analog only setup? I am looking for a modem that is PCI 3.3V, apparently the X100P is 5.0V PCI only so it won't work with the net4801.

Dell PowerEdge 2850
Hello, Digium uses the Dell PE 2850 for their testing. This site says that 3.3V PCI slot. http://www.voip-info.org/wiki/view/Asterisk+hardware We are planning on purchasing a Dell PE 2850 and putting a TE205P card on it. However, the needs a 5V PCI slot. Does Dell PE 2850 has a 5V PCI slot? A person in our group tried to call Dell's customer support but they do not seem to know.

PCI32 and PCI-X compatibility
Hi, this is my 1st message, I'm writing to ask if anyone knows if a PCI32 card like the TDM400P (quad analog) or the B410P (quad BRI) is working on a PCI-X bus, at 100MHz or 133 MHz. I'm really stuck with this, since I found a partial "yes" on this mailing list but my supplier says "no"! Thanks, Marco

OT: "Integrated Access T1" voice problems - is this possible?
Hello, I am currently pricing out various T1 and PRI options for a client of mine. We need voice and data - we want T's. Whether it be two seperate T's, two superate fractional T's, or one combined fractional T, we need it done. We are getting pricing and one provider is telling us that they have quality issues with the "Integrated Access" product. From what they
