VoicePulse Connect
Asterisk Users, Has anybody use Voicepulse Connect for Asterisk? I am trying to cover all my bases because in the past, I got burned with poor quality of service, along with failed DTMF tones with 3 different SIP Providers (Vitelity, Broadvoice, and Teliax). I am running Asterisk 1.2.13 on the Debian Etch system, using the SIP protocol. Any insights would be great. Thanks. -John

Voicepulse Open Access & Asterisk Problems
I can't seem to dial out with Voicepulse Open Access service using *. Incoming works fine. Another user posted a few weeks back that they were having problems and there are some threads at dslreports.com about this as well. VoicePulse Connect DTMF with IAX2
Is there anyone out there who has VoicePulse Connect working with DTMF? I've been unable to get it to work from the start, and the recent VoicePulse updates did not help. PrivacyManager not Working
I have been having problems getting PrivacyManager to work correctly. Right now I am running the 1/21/05 CVS but I have been unable to get this to work on asterisk-stable either. You can see from the debug below that the inbound call is arriving via IAX2 and both the CALLING NUMBER and CALLING NAME are both set as "Unavailable". VoicePulse Connect Problems
Just a quick couple of questions for ya'll. 1) Does anyone know if VoicePulse Connect will be supporting dtmf tones? I have had a terrible time getting a hold of anyone over there, and I need this functionality before I can migrate to * completely. 2) Are there currently any problems with inbound DID's? VoicePulse OpenAccess
Has anyone been able to get * working with VoicePulse OpenAccess (SIP not IAX). I have found a ton of information about VoicePulse Connect but very little on the proper * settings for OpenAccess. Tried contacting VP with no response. If anyone has this working, can they share their extensions.conf and sip.conf files? Better yet, if it could be posted on the Wiki. Keith

VoicePulse Connect 4 Channel Limit?
Does anyone know what happens if you try to have 5 concurrent outgoing channels with VoicePulse Connect? Does it give you an error message or a reorder or something? I'm worried about using them as my primary carrier if this is the case. I noticed that they supposedly only allow 4 channels for free and then you have to pay $20 a month extra per channel. I'm guessing this is for inbound

Voicepulse DID fast busy
I just signed up for Voicepulse with a DID. I can register with Voicepulse and dialout just fine. Terrible inbound call quality vs. outbound
Hi. I'm having a terrible time with call quality coming into my * box. I'm using VoicePulse over a 1.5/1.5 mbit line. Outbound calls are crystal clear on both the RX/TX sides of the conversation. voicepulse "silence" during conversations

Call forwarding of IAX inbound call
I am trying to do the following: 1. Call comes in to my * box over IAX (VP Connect DID) 2. Check to see if call should be forwarded to my cell 3. Forward the call to my cell phone and take * out of the media path. I am able to do all of the above except * is not able to natively bridge the call. I am using sixtel and for the call forward portion, but the calls don't connect before sixtel

Reverse number lookup
Voicepulse Connect provides callerid number, but not name. If the caller isn't already in my database I would like to do a reverse number lookup on the net to get a name. There are several web sites that allow you to do exactly that, for free. To do that from * would require that I write scripts to run the web query and get the name off the results page.   Can you run on a failing computer : - netdom verify yourpcname - nslookup yourpcname All ok? And is time in sync?   Did you install winbind after the update and also and did you change you server services line?   Like, i use bind9 dns My smb.conf contains only this :        server services = -dns   The full line is :  samba-tool testparm -vv | grep "server service"

Forgot one extra. On the win 10, check this reg key. HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip\Parameters\Hostname It states you hostname here, but if its not in caps change it to HOSTNAME In that register key. (HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip\Parameters) You should see also you dnsdomain at Domain and NV Domain. NV Hostname should be in CAPS also. The domains not.

DTMF Tone Issues
I have 1.2.12.1 Voicepulse using IAX I get about 30-40% issues with not having the DTMF tones work. I have 3 questions #1. Voicepulse says they are sending them, Is there some setting I can adjust to make sure my end is working? #2. I have set the Dialplan to play a sound "Operator" then go to a SIP phone. I would like it to write Caller ID Time .... to a file I can read and find
