UPDATE - Analog Phones with FSK/Stutter MWI
After purchasing the Uniden TRU9480 and then the Panansonic 5672, both of which do not have "phone company" compatible FSK/stutter MWI, I finally got smart and found out just which Panasonic phones have this feature. Only the following 5.8G models in their current line have FXO compatible MWI. I purchased the 5771 unit and one remote. I have confimed it does in fact work with Asterisk

chan_zap vs. Panasonic DTMF integration
The Panasonic KX-TA624 series PBXes (and similar models) support a DTMF integration feature that can be enabled for dedicated voice mail ports. What I want to do is connect an X100P FXO port to a jack on the Panasonic and make use of the Panasonic's DTMF call progress tones that it provides in DTMF integration mode. The integration works well when a Panasonic extension is forwarding into

how to answer a Panasonic PBX extension with Asterisk?
I'd like to have my Asterisk system pick up a certain extension on an existing Panasonic PBX when it rings. (It's connected to some proprietary Panasonic doorphones that I haven't replaced yet.) I connected that extension to an FXO port on a Digium AEX410 card, and set that channel to have the context "doorphone". The problem is that the extension is never executed. With
