Asterisk as Voicemail Server for Option 61c?
Looks like we will be forced to make a move on our voicemail system as Nortel has declared Meridian Mail an end of life product. Frustrating thing is that it would seem their only reason for it is so they can force our hand to move to Call Pilot. Is there any documentation and feedback out there of how people have used Asterisk as a voicemail system for a legacy PBX? We've got about

dialplan logic based on caller ID
Hello! Is there any easy way to use the caller ID "display info" (CALLERID(name) in Asterisk) in dialplan just as we could use the number in: exten => _X./67803287, 1, <action> I have a SIP GSM device, and when a call comes in, it passes me the caller ID like so: -- Sip message Header: From: "67803287" <sip:gsm@192.168.10.1>;tag=... -- Asterisk variables:

AOC billing
Hello, is there someone who knows if I can use AOC for billing in Asterisk? I mean: let's say I have an external SIP device that produces AOC data. This device connects me to the telco network. Can Asterisk, if connected via SIP with this device, collect AOC data and put it in the CDR records? If not, which is the right way to use AOC for billing? Thanks a lot Stefano Corsi -- Stefano

AOC info can be used in the CDR when the interface to the outside world is ISDN BRI (not pri) and the internal counterpart is an analog extension (dahdi, i guess)? AOC-E pass through
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hi, I'd like to know what is the current situation with regard to AOC-E, when Asterisk is inserted between the telco and an existing PBX, using E1 / EuroISDN. Can Asterisk pass the AOC-E information received from the telco to the PBX, so that billing system still works? The system would be for a hotel, so breaking billing system is not possible.

Force SATA1 on AOC-SAT2-MV8
I have a supermicro AOC-SAT2-MV8 and am having some issues getting drives to work. From what I can tell, my cables are to long to use with SATA2. I got some drives to work by jumpering them down to sata1, but other drives I can''t jumper without opening the case and voiding the drive warranty. Does anyone know if there is a system setting to drop it back to SATA1? I use zfs on a raid2 if

grid stringHeight
Dear all, I'm puzzled by the behavior of stringHeight in the grid package. Consider the following test, library(grid) test <- function(lab="dog", ...){ g1 <- textGrob(lab) g2 <- rectGrob(height=grobHeight(g1), width=grobWidth(g1)) gg <- gTree(children=gList(g1,g2), ...) print(c("height:", convertUnit(stringHeight(lab), "mm",

SMART problems with AOC-SAT2-MV8 / marvell88sx driver
I''ve been trying to get either smartctl or sg3_utils to report properly. They both have the same low-level problems which leads me to suspect either I''m doing something wrong OR there is a problem in the marvell88sx / sd / SATA etc framework. I can access drive name/serial number of all drives on the SAT2 card and the temperature is returned from the IE log page on my two

Supermicro AOC-SASLP-MV8
Bouncing a thread from the device drivers list: http://opensolaris.org/jive/thread.jspa?messageID=357176 Does anybody know if OpenSolaris will support this new Supermicro card, based on the Marvell 88SE6480 chipset? It''s a true PCI Express 8 port JBOD SAS/SATA controller with pricing apparently around $125. If it works with OpenSolaris it sounds pretty much perfect. --------------

Age of Conan, Wine 1.3.23, Mac OS 10.6.7 ?
Age of Conan went free-to-play (sort of) recently, and I thought I'd give it a look. The AppDB entry and a search of bugs seems to indicate that it should mostly work except for some texture problems, but I can't seem to get past the installation. Configuration: * Mac OS X 10.6.7 * Wine 1.3.23 * Age of Conan web installer Process: * Created fresh WINEPREFIX by: "wine notepad"

problems with NVS310
I have two monitors connected to the PC. One is an AOC 23" (1920 x 1080) and the other is a BenQ 27" (2560 x 1440). Nothing special about them. BenQ has a display port and the AOC uses some sort of DVI adapter. I have this event many times and I captured dmesg twice. At least at one time I captured dmesg my computer was under high load: it had about 15 to 20 windows opened

Supermicro SAS/SATA controllers?
The standard controller that has been recommended in the past is the AOC-SAT2-MV8 - an 8 port with a marvel chipset. There have been several mentions of LSI based controllers on the mailing lists and I''m wondering about them. One obvious difference is that the Marvel contoller is PCI-X and the LSI controllers are PCI-E. Supermicro have several LSI controllers. AOC-USASLP-L8i with the
