WinBUGS posterior samples (via R2WinBUGS)?
Hi all, I did some analysis using package R2WinBUGS to call WinBUGS. I set the iterations to 50000 (fairly a large number, I think), but after the program was done, the effective posterior samples contained only 7 draws. I don't know why. By the way, I checked posterior sample size by using bugsobj$n.sims. And, for my previous practice with WinBUGS/R2WinBUGS, no such strange thing happend.

how can I use R functions in Fortran 90
Hi all, Is there a way that I can import R functions into Fortran? Especially, I want to generate random numbers from some not-so-common distributions (e.g. inverted chi square) but did not find any routines written in Fortran that deal with distributions other than uniform and normal. Thanks. Anny [[alternative HTML version deleted]]

If so, are the schematics downloadable from somewhere? (www.zapatatelephony.org only has Rev. A ones) Does the Rev. A support E1? Morse Code
This is just curiosity, but I'm wondering why the Morsecode app has remained part of the trunk for all of these years. Is there any practical use for this or is it just an homage to the ghosts of telecommunications past? Does anybody use the Morsecode app for anything interesting? I'm strangely fascinated by this core piece of Asterisk functionality. -Chris

Using CELT on iPod
Hi, We are testing CELT 0.7.1 on an iPod touch and it seems we are already reaching the CPU limit of the machine for a 1 channel both directions stream. The CELT README says that the code should be compiled with fixed-point support, but it it not clear how it has to be used later on. We currently use celt_encode_float/celt_decode_float functions. Can we still use them with the fixed point version

[LLVMdev] Why are the tablegen files excluded from source lists/
My problem is that the .td and .h files are not shown as sources in the codeblocks (.cbp) output generated by cmake. I’m consuming the .cbp file with Qt Creator - it’s seems to be an otherwise excellent tool for llvm development. It seems that the culprit is llvm_process_sources function in cmake/modules/LLVMProcessSources.cmake. The addition of .td sources and header files is wrapped in the

smbd pids
just noticed the following problem.. after running samba 302rc1(as pdc) for a few day's. old SMBD pid's are left in the procces tree.. eating memory and cpu time, causing linux to overload and not function annymore. after stopping samba, the smbd pid's will stay. stopping samba the 2nd time will do the trick, they finaly disapear... so you have to stop samba twice.. ?? don't

[LLVMdev] Register pairing in PBQP
Hi. Im currently investigating LLVM's implementation of PBQP as a part of a bachelors thesis im doing on register allocation for regular architectures. In particullar, im looking at the possibility for improving the spill rate of PBQP for a particular DSP architecture, by using register pairing. >From reading the source code of lib/CodeGen/RegAllocPBQP.cpp i conclude that support for

lmer model with continuos non normal response variable, transformation needed?
Hi. I want to do an lmer model but have doubts of what family I should use. My response variable was originally a proportion, however I standarized it for each year of data collection (20 in total). After standarizing it I checked for normality with the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test, and it turns out it is not normal. It ranges from -3 to 4. Since it is no longer a proportion I can't use a
