IAX to IAX connect question
Hi, I got my * working fine with FWD at office with 2 extensions, i receive calls and i can make calls thru FWD. I got also my * at home, and i connected it using auth=rsa. Since i upgraded the one that its now 2.6.x, i m getting this message: chan_iax2.c:5067 socket_read: meta trunk cmd 1 received, I only understand 0 (perhaps the remote side is sending trunk timestamps?) ..and no sound comming from the

phonejack and linejack in the same system

fc5 and link to sources?
Just installed fc5, installed correct kernel source, and trying to compile zaptel-1.2. Changed the link in /lib/modules/2.6.15-1.2054_FC5 to point to /usr/src/redhat/SOURCES. Like: lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 23 May 12 15:21 build -> /usr/src/redhat/SOURCES A 'make install' still complains with: make -C /lib/modules/2.6.15-1.2054_FC5/build SUBDIRS=/usr/src/zaptel-1.2 modules make[1]:

Hi, Thanks for giving me a detailed reply on hardware needs steven. I have been looking at the archives in detail and found a few people have had problems with zaptel compilation on suse(kernel-source-2.4.19.SuSE-342 // gcc 3.2.2 ) ... is shifting to red hat the only viable scenario...would be a pain cuz suse comes with sun java desktop system( just bought it !! ) ... any fixes would be a

S100U and TigerJet
Hi all, this is another post about this problem. I installed from scratch a new Suse Linux 10.0, with latest stable asterisk. Moreover I add the lines to /etc/udev/rules.d/50-udev.rules, in order to let the driver create the /dev/zap....... When I plug into usb port my TigerJet adapter, I see on /var/log/messages Feb 24 14:55:02 srvlnx05 kernel: usb 1-2: new full speed USB device using

Redhat system init and wcusb
I have the dev kit lite installed, and after compiling and installing asterisk, I've become a little confused about how and when wcfxo and wcusb are loaded. When ever my box is done booting, the wcusb module is loaded, but the wcfxo module is not. Further, even though my startup notices say that asterisk started OK, it is not running by the time I log in and do a ps. First, where are the

Zaptel issue
I'm having a bad time getting 3 TE410P's and one TDM400 working in the same box. At some point during the install of second card, wcusb starts loading. I believe this is one of the TE410 Cards causing this as there is no usb enabled. Module Size Used by Not tainted audit 89880 2 (autoclean) usbserial 23420 0 (autoclean) (unused)

S100U / wcusb Zaptel driver / Crash / Kernel problem maybe?
Hi Everyone, I've been using Asterisk now for a few months for my small office (which is mostly just me while other guys are always on the road so we rely heavily on telephones) - I'm very excited with Asterisk as it can do everything I've ever wanted to do with a PBX. I'm having a problem with an S100U USB --> Telephone interface. I haven't actually made it work yet

Newbie needs help - Dev_Kit_Lite installation problem
Installing DevkitLite hardware (Very similar to John Lange's post on Tue Oct 08 2002) I cannot get anything to work on the phone connected to the s100u. I dont know what to do. Can someone please help me? I used the sample configuration files from digium documentaion that was supposed to be "sane" defaults for the kit. Very similar to John Lange's post on Tue Oct 08 2002 Here

Another small suggestion patch
It's nice to be able to define the list of asterisk modules we want to load from the /etc/sysconfig/zaptel file rather than directly in /etc/init.d/zaptel. I'm using nufone and don't require anything but the ztdummy (is the rtc-based module better, anyone?), so that's what I've put here. These are based on zaptel-1.0-RC1. ztdummy running, but moh & meetme don't work
Any thoughts on the following? I am running asterisk from CVS (downloaded yesterday's version, just to be sure) on a test system with no digium cards in it, so I have installed ztdummy (see logs and screenshots below) as a timing source. When I call the music on hold extension from a Sipura Sip connected analog phone, I hear nothing and start getting Warning[98310]: chan_sip.c:674

TE410P problem (Looping UP Span 1...)
Hi list, We have been trying to configure a Quad Span T1 card in a system running RH9. We have followed the instructions in the Wiki and searched the mailing lists, but so far havent got any success. Cable is connected to the first span, and module is loaded. Without loading the module the LED glows in red colour, but the moment we load module, it goes off. (No red or green) . We ran zttool

My first Asterisk - Not recognizing X100P clone
Hi, I'm cutting my teeth setting up a home asterisk server, but having some trouble getting Zaptel to recognize a X100P clone PCI (Motorola SM56 which should work according to various wiki's). What struck me was that the "/proc/interrupts" do not include IRQ 11 as the "lpcpi -v" is reporting. Am I missing something fundamental here? Any hint is greatly

analog phone
Hi I have been searching the wiki and mailing lists and I cant see where my config is incorrect. I have a Digium tdm11b (1 fxo + 1 fxs) this is the output of cat /etc/zaptel.conf # Autogenerated by /usr/local/sbin/genzaptelconf -- do not hand edit # Zaptel Configuration File # # This file is parsed by the Zaptel Configurator, ztcfg # # It must be in the module loading order # Span 1: WCTDM/0

DevKitLite compiles but won't load modules or run asterisk
I'm trying to install on a 233Mz PII running RH7.1 kernel 2.4.2 The "astinstall" script pulled files from CVS ok and compiled with no warnings. When I try to run "modprobe wcfxo" and "modprobe wcusb" I get the following identical set of error messages: 15. Creating sample environment...SKIPPED ================= Installation Completed! ====================
