Hello, I am just asking this because I am note sure if the problem is on my side or not, I saw some comments on SIP realtime today so I was wondering, has anybody has SIP realtime working with a softfone ? If yes, please confirm, that would give me a light. My previous message to the list is below. Thanks. Frederic ----- Original Message ----- From: Frederic Jean To:

usage of each field
Hi all, From the web, I can find a table scheme of sipusers for ARA using. However, I can't find any meaning of each field, especially for the field regserver which is new in the table. Problems with app_realtime
It seems that when setting qualify = 200 or qualify = yes in the database for a sip friend/peer, RealTime does not update the registration status like it should. I also have several peers which have been offline and Asterisk still reports them as registered, even though the registration seconds are only 200. Asterisk Realtime IAX - Adding fields for database table
Hello, Right now there is not a table build script at: http://www.voip-info.org/wiki-Asterisk+RealTime+IAX Therefore I have taken the SIP build script and added a few fields that I use from my iax.conf (could be more out there, please see the complete build script below): `dbsecret` varchar(100) default '', `notransfer` varchar(100) default '', `inkeys` varchar(100)

sip_buddies mysql table
Not being an asterisk expert, but having been around the block once or twice when it comes to data and the like, I have made some observations based on the examples given on voip-info.org Sip configs. it appears there is an adjustment to be made in the sip_buddies example table: >>> name Although set to 30 characters, I don't see where it is limited in the text file. In theory,

Making Asterisk run on Mysql backend
Hello there, I have configured my asterisk to run on Mysql backend. But the Asterisk was unable to pick the peer details from the database. This is how I configured the Asterisk to run with mysql on the backend. Edit /usr/src/asterisk/channels/Makefile, change it to enable the MYSQL_FRIENDS USE_MYSQL_FRIENDS=1 USE_SIP_MYSQL_FRIENDS=1 cd /usr/src/asterisk make

chan_sip + MD5 encryption: WARNING Format for authentication entry is user[:secret]@realm
Hi all! So far I've always used plaintext passwords for SIP, but now I've decided to use MD5 encryption. For each client I edited its section as follows, then: auth=md5 md5secret=hashed_passwd ;secret=plaintext_passwd where hashed_passwd is the output of echo -n "user:realm:plaintext_passwd" | md5sum When the first SIP clients registers with Asterisk after a "sip

What's with Indications/SetLanguage/Zaptel/RingBack ?
Good morning everybody, Can someone explain to me the interconnection between these four things: indications.conf, SetLanguage(), zaptel.conf and ring-back ? If there is any !! :- ) I am having this case where some users cannot hear ring back from a DeadAGI script and it seems to be interconnected to these items. These users are from the iaxfriends table, they _can_ hear ring-back from a

Problems w/Asterisk Realtime + MySQL + SIP [SOLVED!]
After upgrading to 1.4.21.1 I received some more verbose debug messages. Apparently the cause of the problem was that the following table columns MUST exist for a SIP peer to register. ipaddr (i used varchar(32)) port (i used int unsigned) regseconds (i used bigint unsigned) This is apparently because realtime stores the IP address, port and registration time for a dynamic IP, realtime peer
