Rpm for Redhat v7.1
Hi Could you suggest where I can download a samba-2.2.6 or samba-2.2.9 rpm for Redhat Linux v7.1. I am presently using a samba-2.2.3a server but Windows XP clients create extra files when saving or copying to this samaba server. Kvm intel dual gigabit ethernet nic pass thru.
Hello I am having a weird issue with a PCI-X Intel dual gigabit ethernet nic. While I am partially successful in pass thru with kvm, I have a weird issue with my pfsense freebsd vm. It see the two nics but gives them the same Mac address. I'm not sure if this is a pfsense bug or what. The nic works for everything but this Mac address issue. Long story short, I guess what I'm asking is

SIP and * with dual ethernet cards
hi all, i've got a proposed setup that i was wondering if you guys could comment on. the client wants * and a couple of SIP phones to be on a separate network than the rest of the office, so that in case their primary network crashes for some reason the PBX won't be affected. one other factor: the client may at some later point set up SIP UAs sitting on the primary network that will

Gigabit Ethernet and samba network bandwidth
Hi all, I am notice strange behaviour of samba in our mixed fastEthernet/gigabitEthernet enviroment. First of all let me to describe our situation. We have a samba server running debian unstable with 2.6.3 kernel installed. Server has a gigabit copper connection (tg3 driver) to the 100/1000 Megabit switch (3COM 4228G). Client is a WinXP/Linux workstation connected by ordinary 100 Megabit

Dual or quad fast ethernet NICs (that work with CentOS)
Hi, I am looking for dual or quad fast ethernet NICs that work with CentOS. There is no need for high performance so regular fast/pci is ok. -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... PXELINUX booting delays with dual Ethernet ports
We're using PXELINUX for bootstrapping the network install our Linux cluster nodes. We just got some new IBM 326m dual-Opteron servers with Broadcom NetXtreme BCM5780 dual-Gigabit Ethernet ports. These dual-Ethernet servers work in an annoying way with PXELINUX when we configure for booting from the local hard disk as the PXE-client downloads this file from the DHCP/TFTP server: label

Advice on Win98 -> Win2K transition?
My LAN is running Samba v2.0.10 on RedHat Linux v7.1 and everything is running great. Not content to leave well enough alone, we will soon be converting all the Win98 clients to Win2K. What kind of Samba-related difficulties, if any, should I expect? Samba exports both shared drives and printers to the client machine on the Network. Client machines are given access to their home drives as

Re-joining the Domain
I was wondering if there is an answer to this challenge or if I just have to live with it? I'm a bit of a Newbie here. I'm in the process of setting up Samba -2.2.2 on a Redhat v7.1 (Seawolf) server. I've discovered that joining the NT Domain is a simple matter of smbpasswd -j DOMAIN_NAME smbpasswd picks up the PDC name from smb.conf and moves right along. There is no need to

Intel 82579V ethernet nic using only one IRQ? (Dual TX RX queues)
Hello CentOS Community, So I bought a NIC (using the Intel 82579V chipset) that supports Dual RX and TX queues , my goal with that is so iam able to see and use two IRQs in /proc/interrupts and hence be able to take advantage of 2 cores on my CPU. Instead I only see one IRQ being used, and hence only one CPU core.. Please see below. Advisement is appreciated! Alex

Dual ethernet server on the same LAN
Hello, I have Fedora Core 3 linux and Samba 3.0.14a on a server that has 2 ethernet interfaces connected to the same LAN. The purpose to have such a server with 2 network cards is to serve 2 network shares with high traffic. I want the first share to be accessed trough the first network card (named drone.domain.com) and the second share trough the second card (named probe.domain.com). My DNS

runaway smbd hogging system & ethernet cable bandwidth
Greetings all; I've probably got something miss-configured, but I have an intermittent smbd problem, where it will use 15% or so of this machine and nearly all the much slower firewall box. I'll try to give enough data here, so my apologies about the length of this post. The installed samba versions on this very heavily patched RH8.0 machine are: --- [root@coyote root]# rpm -qa|grep

[PATCH v7 0/9] drm: cec: convert DRM drivers to the new notifier API
Hi all, The patches in this series can be applied independently from each other. If you maintain one of these drivers and you want to merge it for v5.4 yourself, then please do so and let me know. If you prefer I commit it to drm-misc, then please review and (hopefully) Ack the patch. I would really like to get this in for v5.4 so I can get the userspace bits in for v5.4 as well through the
