StripMSD or extension parser bug?
For years we've had the following simple context for outgoing calls: [outtrunk] ; match any NANP, and strip leading 1 off exten => _1XXXXXXXXXX,1,StripMSD,1 ; dial outbound on trunk group 1 exten => _XXXXXXXXXX,2,Dial,Zap/g1/${EXTEN} But when I upgraded on Friday to the latest CVSHEAD, this no longer works. If I send 13115552368 to this context, I get a message like pbx.c: Channel

Cisco 7960G w/ SIP not working properly
I have Asterisk version 1.0-RC1 running on Debian Woody. I have 1 analog phone working, 2 inbound lines working, X-Lite is working. The problem that I am having is with Cisco 7960 with SIP version 7.2 software. I can make outbound calls and they work fine, I even get a notice that I have voice mail on the phone and it seems to register properly but I can seem to dial to the phone.

Broadsoft Sip provider
I am looking for a sample sip configuration of a SIP provider that runs Broadsoft VoIP switch. My sip provider is Conecta from Brasil, that only give me a SIP IP address to configure my asterisk box, when I call them for support or authentication data to load on my sip.conf, they say me that I don?t need such data, so, anyone knows how I would configure my Asterisk box against a Broadsoft peer?

FW: Cisco 7960 (SIP) hold problems
ala cisco 7960 -----Original Message----- From: Matt Schulte Sent: Thursday, December 16, 2004 10:34 AM To: 'Paul A Brown' Subject: RE: [Asterisk-Users] Cisco 7960 (SIP) hold problems Sure thing, the biggest problem I had was getting the SIP filenames working correctly for updating the firmware (blah, I love Cisco but these phones are a joke for support). This works for me! Good luck.

Caller ID info ZAP --> SIP??
Hi everyone, I've been toying with * for quite some time now. I've got two Cisco 7940's with the SIP firmware playing nice with *. I can also make outbound calls via IAXTel (toll-free calls only) and all other calls I have routed out my X100P-clone adapter. Here's my question... Is there a way to capture the inbound callerid from my phone line (coming in on the X100P) and have

Need Cisco 7940 or 7960s at good price for Asterisk deployment
Folks -- I know this isn't directly an * issue, but I need to buy 14 7940s (preferably) (or 7960s if the price is also reasonable) --- no power cubes, immediately. If anyone has a good price, contact me offline at 512-427-1324 or lenny @ rocksteady.com Thanks, Lenny

Cisco 7960s
Cisco should really be ashamed of this product... While it is physically well constructed, and has excellent sound quality along with a very pleasant user interface, the device has SERIOUS stability issues, unless you run your network with an iron fist... Quite by accident, while configuring my Asterisk system to connect to a Cisco 7960 via SIP in a standard office PBX type arrangement, I

Asterisk and 7960s
Hi, I have got my setup almost how I would like it now, but I have just two last remaining issues that I cant seem to find answers too so i'd be grateful if someone could help? 1) Since upgrading my Cisco 7960 SIP phone to P0S3-08-2-00 the phone now displays the IP address of my asterisk server alongside the caller ID of the incoming call. For example "0123456789@192.168.0.1",

CIsco 7960 + asterisk: hepl needed
Dear All, I'm trying to configure my new phone Cisco 7960 to work with asterisk. I followed http://www.asteriskguru.com/tutorials/cisco_7960_ip_phone_configuration.html and I got into the point where I can see on the the display line indication showing "55 <phone icon with x>" so it looks like the phone is not registered. The phone and the asterisk are in the same local

Cisco 7960 Beating a Dead Horse
Hi all, So I have been reading through the docs available online and the different threads on this list, but I cannot seem to get this phone to work. I have configured the OS79XX.TXT and SIP/SEP*.cnf files (see attached), when I configure the phone to point to my tftp server and reboot it I get this message: Connection received from 10.6.0.224 on port 50608 [09/02 12:16:11.750] Read request

Best R text editors?
Quick informal poll: what is everyone's favorite text editor for working with R? I'd like to hear from people who are using editors that have some level of direct R interface (e.g. Tinn-R, Komodo+SciViews). Thanks! --j -- Jonathan A. Easier ways to create .Rd files?
R-helpers: Are there any ways to auto-generate R-friendly (e.g. will pass a compilation check) .Rd files given a set of .R code? How about GUIs that help properly format the .Rd files? Thanks! I want a basic set of .Rd files that I can update as I go, but as with most things my documentation typically lags behind my coding by a few days. --j -- Jonathan A. Greenberg, PhD Assistant Project

Contour plot overlayed with line plot
I apologize for what may be a newbie question: I have two sets of data, one is X,Y,Z data that I'd like to make a contour plot of (Z defining the contours), and a second set of X,Y data (Y as a function of X) which I would like made into a line plot OVERLAYED on the contour plot (X and Y from both plots are in the same units and will have overlapping values). Any suggestions on how to do this

R-helpers: I'm running a file search on my entire drive (Mac OS X) using: files_found <- list.files(dir="/",pattern=somepattern,recursive=TRUE,full.names=TRUE) where somepattern is a search pattern (which I have confirmed via a unix "find / -name somepattern" only returns ~ 3 results). Quickest way to make a large "empty" file on disk?
R-helpers: What would be the absolute fastest way to make a large "empty" file (e.g. filled with all zeroes) on disk, given a byte size and a given number number of empty values. I know I can use writeBin, but the "object" in this case may be far too large to store in main memory. I'm asking because I'm going to use this file in conjunction with mmap to do parallel
