Samba Mapped Drives on XP Computers and Wierdness
I have a samba server setup sharing a bunch of files across the company
network. Everyone has the relevant samba shares mapped to drive letters
on their computer on startup. All generally works great.
HOWEVER if you dig deep enough there seems to be some weirdness. As long
as you use the drive letter or a folder link from the DFS to navigate to
the shares then all is good. If you type in the

Samba 3.0.28 with VFS-Module "GPFS"
Hi Rob,
on your Info for Version 3.0.25 you pointed out the VFS-Module GPFS for
using features of the underlaying GPFS-Filesystem.
Also the man-pages-3/vfs_gpfs.8.html points to that module, but I can't
find it anywhere.
We are using a GPFS 3.2 3-Node Samba Cluster (3.0.24/28) on Dell HW.
We would be very glad if it is posible to get

Payload support in ferret
Hello All:
This is potentially a ferret and ruby newbie question. I RTFM-ed (the
oreilly shortcut anyway) and didnt find anything obvious.
Are there plans for Ferret to support the notion of "payloads" introduced in
Lucene 2.2. Payloads are basically arbitrary metadata that can be stored for
each term. For example, for each term I can store, say, font information for
the term. (

u32 filter for payload
I was wondering with the current u32 filter implementation, is there a way
to get beyond the tcp header to the packet payload to filter upon that? Any
help is very much appreciated. Thanks.

I am about to connect to a new provider who requires 20ms payload sizes in
g729a. Is this configurable on asterisk? Is 20ms the default?

dtmf payload 100
Hello,
I encountered the dtmf problem between my asterisk box (1.4.23) and
suppliers gateway (unknown vendor). I have dtmf mode set to rfc2833 and it
alway worked till supplier has changed something. Now I receive from him
dtmf payload 100. With the second supplier which sends dtmf with payload
type 101 everything works.
in cli I get this message as dtmf is entered

on "BSD derived RFC3173 IPComp encapsulation will expand arbitrarily nested payload"
Hi,
as some IPSec users might be worried about the
"BSD derived RFC3173 IPComp encapsulation will expand arbitrarily
nested payload" from http://seclists.org/fulldisclosure/2011/Apr/0 ,
here's some braindump:
To be affected it's believed that you need to
1) manually compile in IPSEC (not done in GENERIC or the release),
2) have an entry for ipcomp in your security

RTP payload
Hi everyone,
I've started looking at the RTP payload for CELT. I'm attaching a very
early draft to start the discussion. It's basically based on the Speex
one and removes the irrelevant stuff. Of course, everything is open to
change. Comments anyone (especially on the "Issues that need to be
addressed" section)?
Cheers,

Question on Opus UDP payload
Hi there,
Im trying to understand the structure of an opus UDP payload. Recently i capture a test audio containing opus codec.
I notice that some packets contains the same number of payload block.(e.g.58 bytes) When i look at the UDP data i see the first few four bytes were having these hex representation, 0x0d 0x80 0x5d 0xeb
Can someone explain to me the meaning of the first four bytes in the

RFC for Opus Packet in RTP Payload
Hello All
When sending the Opus Packet in RTP Payload, the compressed frame is the
output of the encoder?
Also the config value as given in the RFC6716,
16...19 | CELT-only | NB | 2.5, 5, 10, 20 ms
16 corresponds to 2.5 ms
17 corresponds to 5 ms
18 corresponds to 10 ms
19 corresponds to 20 ms
Is this correct representation of the data?
Also in the RFC3551 the payload

payload framesize
is there any particular reason why there is no option to configure the codec
framesizes in iax2 ? It would come rathrer handy to decide if you want less
bandwidth or more robustness on the payload side ...

SIP - DTMF Payload type
I have a problem with my Welltech Wellgates.
I can't call any extension which starts with or includes * or #.
When dialing it responds fine but after some seconds I just get a busy tone
and on the Asterisk console it says "SIP/2.0 484 Address Incomplete".
Don't know if it connects to the DTMF payload type.
Yesterday I made som different tests and observed that if DTMF payload

Change g729 payload
Hi All,
I have a SIP provider that tells me that my RTP stream uses a
"20bytes payload in the g729 coded data". And they would like that we
change this to 30bytes (3 frames).
But maybe I'm wrong but isn't a certain payload just a standard for a
codec ?
And if I'm wrong, how can I change the payload for my g729 calls in
Asterisk.
Greetings,
Attilla
