I've noticed that with FastAGI (and maybe AGI) that when you sequentially send a sequence of dial commands, if the call is picked up, that after the call ends, the Fast AGI script keeps executing the commands! This also was preventing Asterisk to terminated the call properly because it was waiting for the AGI to return... The application uses AGIspeedy to process the AGI calls, not sure if this can be affecting this

I use a python AGI which pulls some info from a web service, which should take half a second. Sometimes, it takes 5-10 seconds which blocks the dialplan execution, but the dialplan should continue immediately as it's not dependent on the AGI/web service data. What's the simplest, easiest quickest least-code way of firing off an AGI with some variable, and then returning to the dialplan?

Does anyone know how I can get stderr from AGI to be sent to somewhere other than the console? It seems that this is the only place it can go. Changing logger.conf has no effect. If you want to see errors from AGI scripts, you have to run the Asterisk console, which isn't viable. Doug.

Hmmm. Not having much luck with this. I'm trying to call the DUNDILOOKUP function and assign it to a variable in an AGI script. I've tried setting with EXEC CMD and with SET VARIABLE. Hello, We would like to continue a Perl AGI after a Dial() it has done completes following caller hangup. We would like to do this in the same AGI, and not using a new AGI from the 'h' extension. It works fine when the called party hangs up and the 'g' option is used, but not for caller hangup. Is this possible? If not a confirmation that this is the case would be very helpful.

After porting all the config to 16 we figured out some major load problems. the majority running of our Asterisk instances is still having Asterisk 11 so we can compare load handling on both versions.
