Opinions needed on call quality vs network latency
Hi, I am checking out the quality at a few vendors, and althought I know it doesn`t totally reflect call quality I am using ping as a cheap subsitute to having a real VoIP testing system The question I have is this one: given that one service gives me a 80ms ping (pretty consistantly) and another one gives me 30ms (again very consistently), is this 50ms difference enough to impact perceived call

VoicePulse Connect
Asterisk Users, Has anybody use Voicepulse Connect for Asterisk? I am trying to cover all my bases because in the past, I got burned with poor quality of service, along with failed DTMF tones with 3 different SIP Providers (Vitelity, Broadvoice, and Teliax). I am running Asterisk 1.2.13 on the Debian Etch system, using the SIP protocol. Any insights would be great. Thanks. -John

Suggestions for reliable DID provider forCanada, USA and Europe
I've had some serious issues with Teliax as of late with their "new" Denver server. DTMF issues, IAX2 connection issues, and major latency issues. They are blaming it on "1.2 vs 1.4 asterisk compatibility issues". I have had zero problems with their old servers. Voicepulse has been WAY better, but no flat charges, no 729. Frankly, even my broadvoice (yikes!)

Teliax Quality of Service
Asterisk Users, I recently ran into some problems with the quality of service with Teliax. This occurred on August 1, 2007 with a dropped outbound call, audio quality isse on the callee side- not hearing me well on callee side, and sending DTMF tones (configured for RFC2833). I need to debug a call quality issue with remote users on the other end of a satellite link. The symptoms are: we here on the Internet side can hear them just fine. Terrible inbound call quality vs. outbound
Hi. I'm having a terrible time with call quality coming into my * box. I'm using VoicePulse over a 1.5/1.5 mbit line. Outbound calls are crystal clear on both the RX/TX sides of the conversation. Polycomm IP500 dropping incoming calls
Hello everyone. I can place outgoing calls no problem with my IP500 (using teliax as our provider). Thing is, when a call comes in, 90% of the time when I pick up the handset it drops the call immediately. I turned on SIP debug, and have listed my extension config from sip.conf. Unable to call certain 800 numbers through Teliax
We are unable to call certain 800 numbers through Teliax but I thought I would post this here and see if anyone else had the same problem with either Teliax or other carriers. Codec "Uknown" with IAX connection
I am having some problems getting TelIax service to work with *. Outbound calls work just fine. When I try an inbound call the phone rings and there is no audio. Upon further investigation "iax2 show channels" indicates that the codec is "unknown" The provider confirmed that they are set for ulaw and so am I. Teliax IAX problems -- Asterisk doesn't see answer
