Reloading queue members (realtime DB)
Hi,
Asterisk 1.4.31 here. I have a queue with members defined, and those member
have member names "member 1", "member 2", etc. They are in a realtime DB.
When I modify those member names (column membername) the changes aren't
reflected in the queue status ("show queues" from cli. They aren't reflected
when a new call comes in, or when I reload the

Realtime queues with Firebird SQL through unixodbc
Hello,
I have a partially working Realtime Queue using unixODBC and Firebird. I
followed the steps on asterisk-guru and the voip-info asterisk message
boards but have been having no success.
I say that my queue is partially working because callers can join the
queue. However the calls do not go to the agents even if the agent is
not tied up and is available for calls. So the caller is stuck

Asterisk 1.8 Realtime Queue not working
I have configured my mysql database by following this link
http://www.voip-info.org/wiki/view/Asterisk+RealTime+Queue
The only difference is that I am using ODBC instead of MySQL with Realtime.
Within extensions.conf I have the following for my queue

exten => 9**2**1611,2,Queue(irock.com,tT,,,300)

Realtime asterisk queues only reload queue members when a new call joins the queue
Hi there,
As described on voip-info here
http://www.voip-info.org/wiki/view/Asterisk+RealTime+Queue, if I use
realtime queues, alterations to the list of members don't alter until a
new call joins the queue.
Is there anything I can do about this? I've tried looking for a bug
number, but to no avail. I use realtime queue members for logging in and
out, and I'd like it to take

Wireless links + Realtime video >= Headache! (long queue delays)
Hello LARTC gurus. I''m new to this list and have a mind boggling problem that I cannot resolve. Let me describe my problem:
We have a custom built wireless camera comprised of an IP encoder and a BitsyX running Linux. It communicates to an antenna unit (Bitsyx) which plugs into a Windows machine with a digitial video recorder:
[IP Video Encoder] -> [Linux Box 1] - 2Mbit Wireless

queue log realtime mysql
Hello,
I have 5 Asterisk servers all using mysql realtime to store queue log
information.
There is 1 out of 5 servers which stores the data in 4 columns : 'data1'
--> 'data 5'.
All other servers store data in 1 column 'data' with the data seperated
by pipe.
I see no difference in my configuration of extconfig.conf and
logger.conf. Maybe a hidden default value ?

Wiki (pjsip+realtime) says don't put the transports into realtime. Still true?
Joshua,
Regarding Outbound Registrations in realtime and a reload. Does it require
a "pjsip reload" or full asterisk restart?

Queue log on MySQL realtime
Hi all,
I'm experimenting with the MySQL realtime logging of queue log, using
backports for 1.4. When I configure the logging of queue log as
realtime, the previous way to save it onto the plain text file stops
working. Is there a way to make it work both ways, just like the CDR
works, where you can have several backends and still save the CDR on a
plain text file? This could be useful

realtime peer w/ callbackextension does not register after 'sip reload'
Hello everybody,
I am having a problem with realtime SIP peers.
On Asterisk 1.8, I had SIP peers for external SIP providers configured in database and additional register lines in sip.conf so they would register.
Now I upgraded to Asterisk 11.3.0, partly because of the promised callbackextension feature for realtime peers (https://reviewboard.asterisk.org/r/1717/). Removed the 'register'

rtcachefriends and REALTIME + MWI
Hi,
Is there something wrong with REALTIME (ARA) when used with
rtcachefriends parameter?
In my sip.conf (Asterisk 1.2.0):
rtcachefriends=yes
rtupdate=yes
rtautoclear=yes
Desired configuration is realtime configuration (via odbc) for SIP
phones + MWI. Realtime means the following: when I make changes to db
they should apply with no extra commands executed in CLI.
In order to use MWI with

reloading realtime sip peers
Hello,
I noticed that changes to realtime sip peers are not applied until a
'reload'. A 'sip reload' does not make any changes to realtime sip peers.
When changing for instance the mailbox-parameter in the realtime
sip_buddies table, the change is not applied with a 'sip reload'.
For every change there is a complete 'reload' necessary.
Why does a 'sip

Asterisk + Realtime + Manager reload = crash
I have several installations of Asterisk (several versions) where we
have our own web interface that uses Mysql and Realtime. When we do
modifications to Mysql we use a Manager connection in order to reload
the configuration (we use Realtime static for extensions) sometimes
Asterisk will crash. Not every time and not every X times we reload.
Sometimes it takes ten reloads and other just one

Sip Realtime Configs Samples with MySQL
Guys,
I'm having a hellava time getting realtime to work, focused on sipusers right now, followed the wiki and other examples but still no luck. Using mysql on a seperate server, asterisk actually sees the database and can poll the table "realtime load sipusers" at the cli but asterisk realtime engine is no pulling the user info. I'm using 1.2.4 stable and have the database

ARA : Realtime or not ?
Hello list,
what is the use of realtime SIP peers when you always need to reload the
sip configuration as if you were just putting your SIP peers in sip.conf ??
My SIP peers are now defined in a mysql-DB and when I add a mailbox in
the field 'mailbox', the change is not active untill a do a "sip reload"
or a "module reload chan_sip.so".

Management: Reload performace & Realtime performance ?
Hello,
I am interested in some management-performance issues:
1st Scenario:
A management tool (for example a webbased one) has the following process:
- write in database
- read with script (for example perl) data from db and write conf files
- reload asterisk
I was reading around in the mailing lists and people say reloading is
stable. Now this tool has to manage 1000 clients so the conf

sip.conf & realtime
Hi -
I'm looking into realtime and I'm having a bit of a problem with the SIP
part.
My review of the posts seems to indicate that I should use realtime static
for the [general] part of my sip.conf including the registration commands:
register=><did>:<secret>@<domain>/<did context>
and use realtime realtime (funny name!) for peers and friends:

Using Realtime queues and queue members
Hello,
We are about to attempt implementing realtime queues using Asterisk
Business Edition and are wondering if anyone has had any experiences or
recommendations /warnings with using this feature.
One issue we're trying to decide on is if we should have a MySQL server
running on the Asterisk server or a remote server to house the
database/tables for the queue settings/members. The concerns
