FXO/FXS suggestions:
I'm looking for a zaptel type device with one (or more) FXO and one (or more) FXS port. Basically this guy would sit in-line of your phone line (PCI card). Any suggestions? TDM400 would be overkill. -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... URL: http://lists.digium.com/pipermail/asterisk-users/attachments/20050515/d66e6335/attachment.htm

Best quad-port fxo solution with EC?
Hello All, I am trying to figure out which way to go for a quad port fxo solution with a good echo can on it. My options are the sangoma remora, a mediatrix fxo, or something similar. The issue is that I would need a good EC. This would be on about a 9000 foot loop, and the lines don't function well on a spa-3000 or zaptel tdm 4 port card. Anyone have experience that drives them in a

Recommendation for FXO
Ok, I am back from my thanksgiving holiday, and I find there was a big snow storm here in Seattle. Apparently during the storm there where multiple brown out/black outs. I have struggled since day one to get a high quality PSTN gateway configured with my very long loop and Mac based asterisk. I originally tried the HT-488, which had multiple issues, and was unacceptable. I then purchased

Newbie X100P question
Hello, I just bought a X100P from digitnetworks. It is supposed to be a FXO card, but there are 2 rj-11 plug on the card. One is labelled "phone" and the other "pstn". When i plug the "pstn" on the wall and the "phone" on my analog phone, everything (incoming and outgoing calls) works like before (without asterisk). AFAIU, i should have an FXS card in my

Reccomendations for connecting to 3-4 PSTN lines?
Hello, I'm looking to connect Asterisk with three (four in the future) PSTN lines, and would like to get some opinions on the TDM400 Digium card, vs. sip gateways like the Mediatrix 1204, vs. other hardware solutions I'm not yet aware of. I need the ability to prioritize which PSTN lines are used for outgoing calls (I understand this can be done with the Mediatrix --

Sipura SPA-3000 vs Linksys SPA3000
Hallo! I had ordered a Sipura SPA-3000 in the UK, but the supplier turned out to be unreliable and never shipped. Yesterday I went looking for alternative suppliers and found the Linksys SPA3000 device. It's a different box, but the specs look very similar. Is this the same device? Has anyone used this Linksys SPA3000 successfully with Asterisk? Thanks, Frank

Cheapest 4 port FXO
I need to increase reliability at an office as SIP/Internet provider outages are causing some issues. What would be the least expensive analogue card that people are using reliably? Thanks! jlc

Analog FXO Woes Continue
I've been struggling with a test * install for a couple months now in a small office and am just about ready to give up on it. It's not that the system itself is a problem. I've got everything (attendant, voicemail, FXS extensions, Cisco and Polycom hard-IP phones, and 2 VOIP carriers) working except for the frigging analog FXO interfaces. These things are driving me completely mad.

Need Adapter/Gateway with PSTN-interface
I am looking for a gateway/ATA that can take conversations on the analogue line (PSTN) and send them to the Asterisk server on the private network. I was experimenting with the Atcom AG-188N but the "FXO"-port only supports lifeline, so it's not a real FXO-port that can send incoming calls to my private Asterisk-server. Could someone advice on a gateway that can take analogue calls

Sipura SPA 3000 logic
Hi all, I was wondering whether anybody here would help me clarify this minor issue please. If I have the following setup; Asterisk ------ Sipura SPA 3000 (fxo) --------- Pstn Line Would a call coming in on the pstn line be answered by the ATA or just get passed through to the * server (depending on dialplan) to handle? So basically, the caller does

Choosing an FXO card
Folks, I'm looking at buying an FXO card for my home Asterisk setup. The question I have is, should I got for a the Digium Wildcard FXO or settle for the winmodem that Digium sell? I have spoken to the UK distributor and they only sell the Wildcard. They said that the quality of the modem was questionable. Does anyone have any experience of this? Is the modem noticeably different

RE: SPA 3000 - UK Replacement
First off I am totally annoyed and let down by PC World Business (PCWB part of the Dixons Group). I ordered one of these babies from them over a month ago. After constantly chasing them up they finally told me they couldn't deliver, and have now only just returned the money they "stole" from me. I only bought from them because they showed a 4-day availability stock level! Now

Sipura phone does not ring
Problem: SPA3000 phone does not ring for incoming PSTN call although I can dial out. I set up my Sipura with the Voxilla Wizard which is pretty good but leaves out some important details. The Voxilla Wizard for Supura SPA3000 gave me a setting for PSTN Tab -> Dial Plans -> Dial Plan 8 (<S0:66610>) Should I put extension [66610] in sip.conf with a context in extensions.conf that

SPA3000 -- PSTN to VoIP
Hi, all I am trying to figure out how to forward incoming PSTN call on SPA3000 to VoIP extension(s). Basically, I have converted my home to VoIP. I have normal phone (connected to SPA3000) and couple of IP phones. All call coming from VoIP DID do ring all phones (analogue via SPA3000 and IP ones). Now I need to do same thing for incoming PSTN calls. I have enabled gateway function in SPA3000 and

HT-488 vs. SPA-3000?
Hello, Just want to tap the collective wisdom of this list as to experiences pertaining to the Handytone HT488 and the Sipura SPA-3000 adapters... Basically I'm looking for a FXO/FXS/LAN ATA and these two seems to be the top of the pick..Any comments and experiences esp. with Asterisk compatibility would be great, before I plonk in the bucks. fax possibilities
I am trying to set up a linux based faxing solution for a client, and have found that the modem they have (ancient dataplex external unit) just isn't up to the job. It talks to some remote fax machines but not others. A new external modem ranges from AUD$75 to AUD$400, which got me thinking of other possibilities... #1 FXO PCI card (more expensive for 1 port, probably cheaper for 2+) #2

least sucky FXO interface?
Would anyone care to offer opinions as to the FXO interface which sucks the least :) I have an application in which it appears I must route certain calls out an analog PSTN line. Presently, I am testing an SPA-3000, but I can't seem to get the echo heard on the IP end of the call down to a non-annoying level. Any suggestions welcomed :) -Dorn

SPA 3000 won't relay DTMF to doorphone
Hello, Before throwing in the towel with my Sipura 3000 has anyone had much success with that adapter connected to a door phone? In our setup a doorphone is connected to the SPA's fxs port. When a visitor rings, asterisk calls a group of Polycoms and the person who answers has to enter *1 to trigger the door opening. However it seems the SPA doesn't relay the DTMF's to the
