Polycom: Button Remapping, HELP!
I need to find a way to have the Polycom phones automatically park calls. Right now my users hit #70# (I know the last # is optional but it speeds it up.) to park a call. Personally I think this is easy, but my users would like one button to do this for them. The Polycom has buttons we don't need (Transfer & Services), it would be nice if I could remap one of those buttons to dial

Polycom remapping SpeedDials
Hi - Has anybody been able to successfully remap SpeedDials on Polycom phones? The manual seems to indicate that you can, and I followed the advice in this list message: http://lists.digium.com/pipermail/asterisk-users/2005-October/129142.html The result I get is that the remapped buttons act as the VolumeUp button, rather than as a speed dial. My configs look like this: <Mac

Remapping Polycom IP501 buttons
Hi, Just started using an asterisk-based PBX with Polycom IP501 phones. Am Fairly satisfied and am starting to get into FTP setup of the phones. Have figured out most things except for how button remapping works. In sip.cfg, I have this entry: <keys key.IP_500.31.function.prim="DoNotDisturb"></keys> This works as expected but if I try to change the remapping to any

Polycom Setup Questions
OK I have just gone live with asterisk in a new office with approx 40 Polycom 501 handsets. I have a few questions: 1) Call Parking: I am able to park calls using the standard Asterisk call parking system (transfer to ext *70 etc...) I would like to make this a little easier for my users The Polycom 501s w/ SIP 1.5.2 seem to support some type of standard call parking, however I don't

Polycom IP501 and record on demand
I am doing some experimenting with Asterisk 1.0.9 and Polycom IP501's. I have the extensions setup, and everything is working well up to this point. Now, I want to setup my system so that a user at an extension can start a recording on demand. I have tried various Google searches, but am coming up empty. Could someone point me in the right direction, or have some sample Polycom/Asterisk

Polycom SIP 501 Transfer Question
I know this is not a Polycom support forum, but I also know there are a lot of you with a great deal of Polycom experience. Is there anyway to remove the "Attended Transfer" but keep the "Blind transfer"? Or better yet, just swap the two soft buttons locations? I know you can remap the "Hard" buttons, but what about the soft buttons? The reason I need this is my

tftpd-hpa filename remapping
I cannot seem to get the remap-file function of tftpd working right. I can sucessfully place files on the server but the remap feature is not working. I look in the logfile and it has an entry in there for tftpd. remap: input: startup-config Jan 13 21:47:50 proxy in.tftpd[25438]: remap: done Jan 13 21:47:50 proxy in.tftpd[25438]: RRQ from 192.168.0.12 filename startup-config I think that I

[PATCH] [VTD] Add a check for interrupt remapping of ioapic RTE
For IOAPIC interrupt remapping, it only needs to remap ioapci RTE, should not remap other IOAPIC registers, which are IOAPIC ID, VERSION and Arbitration ID. This patch adds the check for this and only remap ioapci RTE. Polycom Do Not Disturb button and asterisk hints
Hi, Is there ANY way for me to see the status of the Polycom DND buttons in the Asterisk hints? I`m using the BLF buttons to see the status of other people`s lines, and DND should logically be somehow reflected (I don`t care as much about Polycom showing the BLF button as DND, but I do care about Asterisk hints showing it in the CLI). Right now, a Polycom phone on DND shows up as being

Polycom screwed up Messages button in 1.4.1?
I think Polycom has added another feature that nobody wants. With MWI configured, and a phonexxx.cfg that has this: <msg msg.bypassInstantMessage="1"> <mwi msg.mwi.1.subscribe="" msg.mwi.1.callBackMode="contact" msg.mwi.1.callBack="XXX" msg.mwi.2.subscribe=...> </msg> Under 1.3.4 and earlier, the phone would immediately

[PATCH][VTD] Minor fixing of interrupt remapping
When ir_ctrl->iremap_index == -1, it means there is no remap entry. So it needn''t to convert from remap format to normal ioapic format. Polycom Reboot Script
Hello, I'm trying to setup the revised Polycom remote reboot script as found on: http://www.voip-info.org/tiki-index.php?page=Polycom+reboot+hardphone+script I'm not sure how to use this script, it's just a perl script, so I tried creating an executable perl script and running it, but I get the following: [root@asterisk1 agi-bin]# ./polycom_reboot.pl 192.168.3.205 Checking ARP

Game seems to work fine otherwise... Jesse

Polycom IP601 call parking
One more Polycom IP601 question please (sorry for the long intro here to document) ... In order to closely approximate the behavior of the previous telephone system that many of the users are familiar with, I have set up call parking like this: - features.conf [general] section contains: parkext => ** ; What extension to dial to park parkpos => 10-11 ; What

one-button call parking/pickup on Asterisk with Polycom phones?
Anyone want to talk briefly about one-button call parking/pickup on Asterisk with Polycom phones? Does anyone use it or know to do it? On many phone systems there are 2 or 3 park buttons, and you can park a call onto an unlit park button, and then the light flashes. You can go to any other phone, and press the park button with the flashing light to pick up the call. Super easy from the

Polycom 501 + Asterisk +Edit buttons
Hey All, This is more a polycom question, but involves how to make it specifically interact with asterisk... I have setup a special extension in asterisk which toggles whether our "Night Service" is turned on. However, I would like to have 2 things happen on our Polycom 501 (or 601)s. Where there are buttons which say "New Call" and "Forward", I would like to add a

(hpa-tftpd] remapping with regular expression problem
Hi mailing list, I'm working on PXE booting a BartPE (=Windows XP) system from a server running hpa tftpd. In the initialization phase the files are requested from the boot server by TFTP, later the transfer is switched to SMB. Most of the problems during this tftp phase can be solved with the remapping feature quite nicely like: *converting filenames into absolute paths *convert

Polycom 301/501 Keymapping
I know how to remap a key on a polycom 301 and 501.... But does anyone know of a list of mapping keys? For example, the Do Not Disturb on a 301 is #23. I got that one by just guessing though. Thanks, Rob
