sangoma card rx/tx gain level
Hey Guys! We had echo issue before so we replaced old PRI card with Sangoma A102D HWEC. Now my question is i set rx/txgain level 0.0 default do i need to touch this value or default is best. Effectively using a telco Type 102 Milliwatt Test line with ztmon itor -v to set txgain/rxgain in zapata?
I am trying to obtain optimum gain settings for a bank of analog lines connected to a channel bank. My telco has provided a 'Type 102' test line to use for incoming level calibration. This is functionally equivalent to app Milliwatt(), but provides tone from the CO inwards. Question is, how should one use this a 0dbm test source with ztmonitor? Am I correct in understanding that a 0dbm

Tiny Echo on PSTN via Zaptel
I'm using Asterisk 1.0.9, a Digium TE210P dual T1 card, and two Rhino channel banks (one 12FXO/12FXS, the other 24 FXS). So it's an analog phone on the inside connected to one of the FXS ports, and PSTN line connected to one of the FXO ports. My problem is that as soon as I hear the _first_ ring when I dial out through the PSTN line, I hear a tiny echo on the phone (I estimate between

Clarifying RX and TX gains
I've done gain tuning as per the info I've found online. I've got my RXGain set so my volumes list as about 14,800 (using a milliwatt test number and ztmonitor -vv). However listening to the line now, this sounds too loud to me. The person speaking sounds fine, but I've now got a large amount of background hiss coming thru. In order to get the "recommended"

RX gain TX gain
I have an X100p card....and it is hard to hear the person on the other end. Should I mess with these values? I have heard both yes and no to this question in the past. If yes, how much louder should I make them? Thanks, MIchael

Echo calibration with ztmonitor and a testlinefrom a telco
The value of 14800 is correct. I had issues with my TDM400p with 2x FXO's installed and using the Xlite client. I could not get the echo stable at the initial call. Changing to a hard phone made everything work correctly. I still had problems with the off location I called, but mostly worked great. To see the TX gain I created an extension with the Milliwatt command attached to it and called

Test Line
Hi, Somewhere in the Wiki I read that the best way to adjust the rxgain and txgain is to dial a "type 102 milliwatt test line". This line is usually found in xxx-958-nnnn or xxx-959-nnnn ranges. I'm in area code 323 in Los Angeles. Does anybody know the test number here?? Thanks, -N

WCTDM-24xxp woes
I am currently running Asterisk 1.2.8, on an AMD Sempron 3100+ (ASUS K8N Nforce based board). I am using a Digium wctdm24xxp to terminate 8 (2x quad) FXO lines. Using ztmonitor (From zapata) I cannot see that there is any registerable incoming volume from these lines. I've been running them at rxgain = 25 (zapata.conf) to make the audio audible, however this creates poor call quality issues

echo problem
I have searched for how to locate echo cancelation on SIP clients, but cant find anything and echocancel=y doesnt seem to have any effect. Configuration: CVS-HEAD from last month iPAQ h5500 with SJPhone (gsm/ulaw/alaw) Problem description: When I place or receive a call I hear a faint delayed echo of myself. The other party hears a really bad nonmuted echo that makes the call unusable. Aside

Rx/Tx fine tuning of analogue card to PRI card - Am I right with my theory?
Hi Everyone, I want to fine tune the Rx and Tx gain on an analogue Sangoma card by dialing into another server that is running on Sangoma PRI card (both services on Bell network). [mwatt1004khz] exten => s,1,Answer exten => s,n,PlayTones(1004/1000) exten => s,n,Wait(300) If I match the Rx/Tx numbers on both sides by monitoring "ztmonitor X -vv" am I right with my theory of

Test Number in the UK?
In recent times I have seen a few posts which describe how to use ztmonitor to set the rxgain and txgain parameters on an FXO channel. The starting point is to call a '102 milliwatt test number' Does anybody know of such a facility in the UK? Ian -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... URL:
