Teliax: where's the space in CALLERID(num) from?
I'm having trouble setting callerid with teliax. I use a simple dial-out subroutine to set the callerid depending on the calling extension, and then dial out. Teliax is saying they're not seeing any callerid info. [DialOut] ; subroutine for dialing out. exten => s,1,NoOp(Context: DialOut called with outgoing number ${ARG1} ) exten => s,n,NoOp(${CALLERID(num)}XXXX) exten =>

Recommend against Teliax as primary ITSP
I really hate to have to make a post like this, but I feel I have little choice but to relay to the group my experience with Teliax, and explain why I recommend against using them as a primary Voip-> PSTN provider. I hope that a letter like this will inspire companies like Teliax to work harder at customer service, as well as circuit stability. We need more companies that offer the types of

CallerID issue
Hello. I'm having trouble with callerid on outgoing calls. The recipient of the call only sees "unknown" rather than the number I'm specifying. If I set callerid info when calling an internal extension then I see the callerid name and number when I call that extension. I did that thusly: exten => 101,1,Set(CALLERID(number)=1112223333) exten =>

Bug in AMP 1.10.010 in sip outbound callerid
If you define a sip peer, wheather or not you put an entry in the field OUTBOUND CID, if you dial an external extension (let's say an extension on another asterisk server, connected via IAX2 connection) the callerid received by the foreign asterisk is device <YOURNUMBER>: i.e device <567> If you take a look at etc/asterisk/sip_additional.conf, you can see under the SIP extension

Some problems with mysql CDR
Hello, We have finally upgraded to Asterisk 1.4, however we've run into two issues that weren't occurring before the upgrade. Issue #1: We're an outgoing call center and need to record all calls. We use the uniqueid field in the CDR to match with the recording, which we labeled with {UNIQUEID} in MixMonitor. For some reason, the uniqueid is not correct in the CDR. Here is the

Teliax IAX problems -- Asterisk doesn't see answer
Not to point the finger at Teliax, but I'm having some unique problems with their service that are as yet unexplained. Incoming calls are fine. Outgoing calls don't work, though they did at one time. As of today, I'm running the latest code from CVS. -- Called teliax/13143212222 -- Call accepted by 208.139.204.245 <http://208.139.204.245> (format ulaw) -- Format for call is

Teliax Quality of Service
Asterisk Users, I recently ran into some problems with the quality of service with Teliax. This occurred on August 1, 2007 with a dropped outbound call, audio quality isse on the callee side- not hearing me well on callee side, and sending DTMF tones (configured for RFC2833). Am I the only Teliax customer having this problem? It seems like when I am ready to go live with my Asterisk

registering IAX with Teliax
Hopefully this is really a generic question about IAX and doesn't turn out to be something specific to Teliax, because they haven't been too helpful so far. All they can tell me is that my login shows "status unknown" on their end, which prevents me from receiving inbound calls on my Teliax number. Outbound calls through the same server work fine, which rules out most networking

Using Asterisk/callerid with "pay as you go"
If you asked this question on the biz list you would get a lot of people that will tell you that they offer services where you can set the caller ID to what ever you want. Help: CallerID Name not being sent on outbound PRI trunk
Outbound calls on my Telus PRI aren't taking the Name portion of the callerID. I've looked at the logs, and it is being set (see below), but the PRI debug output doesn't show the name being sent anywhere. As a result, received calls always display from Unknown (or just the number). Is there some config that I've missed somewhere? I'm running NI-1 (Telus says NI-2 doesn't

CallerID outbound
We're using Asterisk@Home 2.8 (same thing occurs with earlier versions). We have it set up so that if we don't answer our internal SIP phones it does "follow me" to our cell phones. When Asterisk forwards the calls to our cell phones, the Caller ID shows our outbound number, not the caller's number. We have 3 queues set up (1,2, and 3) and our extensions (801 and 802) are

Providing Telewest in the UK with per extens ion outbound callerID
Would be nice to do both (type 2 and 3 I believe in Oftel terms), but I'd accept just our DDI if that was all I could get. SetCallerID based on extension
I am going through previous posts, but I am not finding anything. I apologize if this has been covered already. I want to be able to change the CallerID for outbound calls based on the extension making the calls. However, I don't really need this level of granularity. I have one asterisk box serving many markets. I want to set the CallerID to a local number in each market. So, of someone

dreaded one-way audio with nat=yes
I'm trying to move the asterisk server to an Amazon Web instance. We have teliax for our sip provider. I'd like for our DID lines to be connected to a users cell phone. Seems simple enough, but I'm getting the dreaded one-way audio, even with nat=yes everyplace I can think of. The dialplan is real easy: [from-teliax-sip] exten => _j.,1,NoOp("From teliax sip with exten

Re: teliax [Was: LiveVoip is Bankrupt]
For outbound only, I have traditionally recommended VoipJet. They just recently has a spat of issues that seem to have resolved though. I am still using them via their east coast server and it seems to work quite well again. Cost is around 1.3 cents minute I believe. Use IAX and g711 for best quality to VoipJet. Transfer a call from cell phone (pseudo-disa)
I set up a context to allow me to call in to my * server (via Teliax in this case using IAX2) from my cellphone, and let me do a number of things, including dial other extensions, AND dial outbound again so callers could see my proper work CallerID when I use this service. Is there a way to be able to transfer calls to other extensions of my asterisk server FROM the cell phone/ This isn't a
