similar to: new spandsp-0.0.3pre1 missing tx and rx fax apps?

I'm wondering if tweaking [rx|tx]gain would improve my fax reception success rate. Running ztmonitor when receiving a fax shows 4 "octos" and an * on the RX side and nothing on the TX side. At the end of the page, there's a burst where RX goes to about 1/2 and TX goes to about 2/3 of the range displayed. Any opinions? Thanks in advance,

I'm trying to put together a package of asterisk-head, spandsp, and app_rx,tx fax. I can get everything to compile: spandsp-0.0.2pre20 asterisk-head (cvs co -r HEAD asterisk) the app_rx/tx from soft-switch.org in the 1.1 folder However, asterisk complains that there is unused symbols when running /usr/sbin/asterisk -vvvvvvvgc ARGH.. Does someone have a package with files that I could try?

Guys. Ive been testing how to receive faxes using TDM400P cards and so far, after playing with gains, echocancell and echotraining on zapata.conf.. Ive ha dno luck, faxes come in as garbage or broken or with blank lines. Anybody has successfully done this? Any tips.. Also I have some ideas: 1. How do those callcenter apps work with Asterisk where a call comes in and * send a URL and some screen popup up based on callerid or something or username or id and shows all the customers info? Anybody done that? What do you need to do that? If you are using ATAs or IP Phones, how do those integrate with the PC so the screen would popup?

Hi, Several people have reported problems sending faxes from spandsp-0.0.1k to Canon FAX machines. A spandsp user had the same problem with another make of FAX machine, and traced the problem to a bug in the file t30.c of spandsp. Line 542 says s->t4.rx_file[0] where it should say s->t4.tx_file[0]. This fixes his problem, and I suspect it will also fix the Canon fax machine problem.
