TDM400P off-hook detection problem
Hi list, I have a "Wildcard TDM400P REV I Board 1" with 4 FXO modules and * 1.0.9 up-and-running. Only 2 FXO ports are used for 2 analog phones and are doing fine. I now wanted to use the 3rd and 4th port, but when I insert an analog phone, take it off hook, I do not get a dial tone. With my 1st and 2nd port, I get messages like: -- Starting simple switch on 'Zap/13-1'

TDM400 and Phone does not 'ring'
I have a running * with a TDM40B board in it. I have 3 analog phones that works (rings) perfectly when connected to a Telco POTS line. When connected to the Digium TDM40B (with FXS port), I have problems with 'ringing': 1 phone 'ringes' normally 1 phone 'ringes' a bit cripled (instead of ring-ring... ring-ring..., it does 'ring-ri... ri.... ring... ri...) and the 3rd

BRIstuff/OctoBRI problem: Ring requested on unconfigured channel 255/255 span 5
Hi all, I just posted this question before last week. Meanwhile after upgrading Asterisk 1.0.7-BRIstuffed-0.2.0-RCg to 1.0.8-BRIstuffed-0.2.0-RCh the same problem occurs, but seems to be more seldom. Attached is now the output of "zap show channel" . - I'm running a stable Asterisk on a HP DL380G2 1.4Ghz 0,5GB RAM equipped with 1x TE410P and 2xJunghanns OctoBRI running in NT-mode.

BRIstuff/QuadBRI problem: Ring requested on unconfigured channel 255/255 span 5
Hi all, I'm running a stable Asterisk on a HP DL380G2 1.4Ghz 0,5GB RAM equipped with 1x TE410P and 2xJunghanns QuadBRI running in NT-mode. Connected to the BRI-Ports are 12 Fax-Modems (Elsa MicroLink ISDN/TL V.34) which are only operating in dial out analog mode to deliver fax messages. After a while of running fine (50-200 dial out connections) on some S0 spans the following message occurs

TDM400P Problems
Hi, I have just started to setup and configure my asterisk box and am having trouble with it. I have a dlink nic in the box as well as the digium card. When the nic is in there by itself it works, but when I put the tdm400p in, there seems to be some sort of conflict with the network card. The tdm appears as another type of network card, which I don't think it should, should it? It shows

NOTICE[180235]: chan_zap.c:7358 pri_dchannel: PRI got event: 6 on Primary D-channel of span 1
I am getting: NOTICE[180235]: chan_zap.c:7358 pri_dchannel: PRI got event: 6 on Primary D-channel of span 1 on my asterisk box and it seems to be causing a poping sound in the phones, I am wondering if anyone can shed some light on this. I have scanned the archives and get possibilities ranging form motherboards, to pri, to loaded module problems. Can someone tell me the best way to start

Weird PRI error on an QUAD E1 span: Ring requested on unconfigured channel 255/255
After working fine for a week or so my new Quad E1 asterisk 1.8 system has started rejecting outbound calls from the Nortel BMC 450 it is connected to. The cli fills up with these: sig_pri.c: Ring requested on unconfigured channel 255/255 span 3 Is this likely to be a 1) config error 2) cable issue (I made them) 3) hardware problem with the Digium card 4) software (lib pri) Any clues?

Asterisk 1.2.1 + TDM400P + fax machine unreliable ?
Hi, I have a running asterisk 1.2.1 (bristuffed) with a TDM400 Board. Connected to 1 port is am ordanary Fax Machine. Everything 'seems' to work, however receiving faxes is very unreliable. Sometimes I receive a normal page, without problems. Sometimes half of a page and the rest is scrambled, but most often, I receive nothing and the other site reports a Fax error... The Fax machine

dahdi_tool reports that dahdi_dummy is UNCONFIGURED
Usually I used real Digium cards in asterisk systems, so I'm running into this for the first time. dahdi_tool reports that dahdi_dummy is in state UNCONFIGURED. This isn't super surprising, as it seems like the configuration files for DAHDI are really intended only for configuring real physical cards. But that begs the question: Is there any legal DAHDI configuration for dahdi_dummy such

Cisco 79xx + asterisk + some functions Q
Hi, I am new to Asterisk and have some general questions _before_ I start buying equipent to install and get everything up-and-running. (this means I have no running Asterisk (yet)). I have read already a lot of doc, but some things are not clear to me, since I'am inexperienced in Asterisk and PBX. The goal: Make PBX using Asterisk and Cisco 79xx equipment for 25 phones (1 x 7970, 4 x 7960,

How do I remotely force an *unconfigured* Digium DPMA phone to re-query the network for the DPMA server?
Consider the following scenario: 1) One or more Digium DPMA phones are plugged into the network. I know their IP addresses and MACs. 2) The Asterisk I want to use as the telephony server starts without the DPMA module. Therefore there are no DPMA sessions between the phones and the server. 3) I install DPMA on the server, and write its configuration file for the phones. I will tie each phone to

Use DPMA to enumerate unconfigured Digium phones in LAN
Is there a way to use DPMA to enumerate the Digium phones that are plugged in and visible in the local network, but not (yet) configured through the DPMA configuration files in Asterisk. I would like to write a frontend that lists the DPMA capable phones, presents a GUI to specify the various options, then write the configuration files as required and make the phones read these settings.
